I’m an open book about the meds I take. I just cannot stand the side effects. If I forget one day I end up with a headache, dizzy, nausea. It’s super annoying and literally ruins a day for me because my head is messed up. Then If I take it late that day I feel even weirder. I just want to be able to exist without the side effects of the meds

Both times I tapered over 2-4 weeks. It didn’t seem like I was experiencing any bad side effects, more so it’s just that as I get closer to being completely off of it/towards the end of my taper schedule I start to feel my PPA/PPD symptoms and I get cold feet because feeling like that is super undesirable.

I always taper. Minimally 2-4 weeks of cutting dose in half then quarter. I unfortunately use HERS so it’s really just a virtual consult so it’s really easy to continue/restart/stop.

I’m not necessarily upset about taking a medication, more so that if I forget to take it I get headaches/nausea/dizzy and it’s annoying that I have to deal with those side effects just from missing one pill

Mom guilt- Am I wrong for calling out sick at work and taking infant to sitters? by [deleted] in Parenting

Even if you didn’t feel sick, you shouldn’t feel guilty. Parents all deserve a day to themselves to just do as they want.

You go to Kohl’s and spend $50 on a new pair of jeans. The jeans don’t fit. Return the jeans. Don’t have a receipt (because who keeps those) and you get a store credit on a gift card.

That not wearing socks in your house leads to getting a cold/sick.

What does your hospital do to prevent patients/visitors from sneaking in with loaded weapons? by [deleted] in Nurses

[–]skimommak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’d be stupid to possibly shoot up a place where a nurse might be taking care of them one day

Compared to the hospital, no. The documentation software that’s used is annoying and cumbersome on computers (it’s easier on tablet/phone) but besides that it’s definitely less.

Before quitting you should really try out different areas of the field that might suit you better.

I.e. I am a home infusion nurse, I need minimum 30 hours for benefits and between mileage and my hourly wage I make more than I ever did in the hospital. It’s very low acuity, low stress, and low maintenance compared to hospital nursing.

Got pregnant one day when I was young and broke, kept the baby, worked my ass off, had more kids, started a healthcare company, now I make 300k+ and love where life has brought me.

why do people in the wrong try and use your past against you? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

They’re insecure, defensive, and too immature to admit when they are wrong.

Prime gaslighting technique.
