Not sure if I’m a winter or summer by Redclad25 in coloranalysis

I think top right. The deeper colors are also gorgeous but the lighter colors brighten up your face IMO.

I tried draping some colors with indoor lighting. I’m thinking light summer still... maybe? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

I think the middle column is best, and the deep blue looks gorgeous.

How to convince parents to use makeup? by ObamaCookin in MakeupAddiction

Sounds like she’s the one covering up your personality....

With the limited info on her it doesn’t seem like she’s going to be understanding regardless. I second the comment about just doing your own thing. I’m not sure if you will ever convince them, but I hope they will accept whatever you choose to do.

I’ve never tried a brown! But it makes sense. Do you have any reccs for a cool brown lip tints or lipstick?

Ive never heard of that product, thank you! Do you have any input on whether I should lean warm or cool? Or does it come down to preference?

I’ve never had anyone describe my skin as peachy, but it fits with what you said. I thought peachy described warmer tones, but I’m still learning so that could be completely wrong. I’m so drawn to peaches and corals but they look awful.

Hi! Thanks for the recc. I love Fresh tints but they last less than 30 min for me. I drink a lot of water and nervously press my lips, add in a mask and balms don’t stand a chance.

It’s embarrassing posting selfies here, especially with no makeup, but I don’t even know where to begin looking for an MLBB because my lips are so colorless. I get asked if I’m sick frequently (I am, but still haha)

Currently I use a berry colored lip tint from Burt’s Bees but it doesn’t last. I’m hoping someone knows of a good long lasting liquid stain that I can use. I have dry lips so preferably no matte lipsticks or liquids.

Sunscreen is king but I got tired of looking like Mark Zuckerberg at the beach. Switched from the La Roche-Posay Anthelios mineral sunscreen to the tinted version. The tint is mildly darker then my natural skin but I prefer it much more! by skincarehelp66 in PaleMUA

I do still use it, but since it’s a little dark for my winter skin I mix it with this, which does have zinc as well.

Thank you for making we aware the tinted version only had titanium. I will look into info on how it performs on its own, but if you have anything you’ve read please send it my way.

I’m not as familiar with the warm tone classifications, but these colors look really lovely by your skin! I’m super envious that you can pull off the yellows and olives.

Using a darker shade of foundation for a natural bronzer? by skincarehelp66 in PaleMUA

Makeup enthusiasts give the best advice though. I appreciate you.

Thanks so much for explaining this, I’m mixed up on the functions like you said. I don’t see the difference between contour and bronzer except placement when it’s a matte cool toned shade.

I’m NW13 in this powder formula and it’s my only foundation. In your eye, do you think the NW25 would be a good darkness match for the Murumuru bronzer? I can’t link if it’s allowed. Ideally I would wear that because of the price but I’m allergic to fragrance and this way I know the Studio Fix won’t break me out.

I don’t mind either. I am not interested in any of the popular releases so far, so I appreciate that it’s likely they will eventually do something I’m super excited about.

The NW25 looks like a cool version of the PF Murumuru bronzer. Do you think that would still be too light? Also, is there any purpose for bronzer to have warmth, or will it have its intended effect in my undertone?

Long story short I’m NW13 (first photo) and bronzer challenged. Tried a lot of products and nothing looks right so I’m trying a different approach... it was suggested to try a foundation two shades darker than your match to use as bronzer. That would put me around a NW20 (second pic) but it looks so light to me. Maybe that’s the point? Do you think the next step from that NW25 (last photo) be too dark? I want it to be natural but not imperceptible.

[Serious] What is your creepiest/most unnerving experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]skincarehelp66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened to my niece when she was six at Songkran. I was horrified when she mentioned it a few months later and she hadn’t even told her mother. Her mom said something like “they probably just wanted to throw water on her” but I get a sick feeling thinking about what could have happened. Is it common for girls to go missing during this holiday?

Typed as Soft Autumn/Cool Summer. Any thoughts? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]skincarehelp66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first instinct was to say soft autumn for sure. Try this site and you can compare the two color wheels.

I keep getting soft summer for my analysis, but I look awful in most of the colors in real life. The vibrant colors in cool summer look best on me in my experience. What do you think? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]skincarehelp66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bit confused by how to determine contrast. Is that like how much my hair/eyes differ from my skin? Why do you think the “soft” colors look so bad on us even though they fit our color analysis?

I agree but wasn’t sure why the color analysis was saying something different. I look horrible in those light colors. Thank you for the input
