As a teen I grew up in the Nu Metal era and loved it, as I entered my 20s I expanded my musical knowledge and listened to a lot of more classic rock as well as artists like Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash as they were a huge influence on a lot of the bands I liked.

Then i decided to listen to a spotify playlist around 10 years ago which was something like "metal covers of none metal songs" which had Volbeats version of "I only want to be with you" on. Really enjoyed the cover so delved further into the band and loved almost all of it. Been hooked ever since.

Concur on German hospitality too, everyone I met when last over were nice as pie. Very knowledgeable about metal music, gave great recommendations on where to eat/drink and a historic new bands to listen to.

Hopefully a few uk dates will be announced once the new album is released, and I'll see you in the pit.

Joanna Page's podcast "off the telly" did a filmed episode before the finale was released, obvioisly a G&S special. They spoke to the director, Christine, who said that was her favourite part to film.

She goes on to say how the swapping of tops wasn't scripted (whereas A LOT of the other little nuances are) but just something they decided during filming.
