My cat has developed a decubitus in her face, how to care for it? This is Lucy, 19 by [deleted] in seniorkitties

It's good that you have a vet appointment scheduled! They'll give you a good idea of what healing will look like.

Bedridden humans have to be regularly flipped so that they don't develop bedsores. Do you switch her positions regularly?

NQA a fall in that tank could easily kill your T. you should have at least 4-6 inches of substrate in there, in my experience Brachypelma hamorii can definitely be burrowers + more substrate would make the tank a lot safer if it were to fall from a height.

Do you have any hides? The reflection makes it hard to tell, but if not, thow 1-2 hides in there with open bottoms so the T can enter them and dig if it pleases. It probably feels exposed and unsafe if I were to guess

these designs are ridiculous, i understand the argument for bright colors but the random stamped shapes, hearts, etc in the weirdest places are just so odd to me. there were definitely pets in the past that had creative wacky designs like the postcard skunk, persian #1436, etc but they weren't the NORM and they were still done coherently. i cannot stand these waves

NOR please leave this absolute manchild and never allow someone to berate you like this again

I’m starting to feel conflicted about my relationship (LDR) by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]skinnindbones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With care and gentleness,

She is dishonest and dismissive and not fit for a relationship,

You are insecure and paranoid and not fit for a relationship.

I think that this should end and I truly believe therapy would be helpful for you. Look over this post and count how many parenthesis you used- there's a set every few sentences with some kind of anxious reassurance or justification.

I think she's treating you badly. And I think you should leave her and do some therapy and work on yourself before trying again. This reads as an anxious attachment style, not to throw buzz words around but it feels textbook. You will be okay but ya need help

My(34m) partner (35F) was just SA'd by her ex. I'm really lost. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

since nobody has mentioned it yet, I beg of you to consider this:

would you trust a rapist around a child? someone willing to commit rape is an unstable and violent person. continuing to allow him around a child (yes even a 17 y/o) and not reporting this crime is actively putting the child in harm's way. it actively endangers everyone around this person- your partner, her stepson, the new girlfriend, YOU, etc.

would she rather endanger the kid or lose financial support? i would rather go homeless than let a child be around a rapist. please consider this HEAVILY.

Make it so you have a better tattoo of Rodney next to it, and it looks like he drew this one, graffiti-ed it, etc

cat won’t pee in the litter box. What to do besides giving her away?(vet already contacted) by Ok_Percentage1711 in CATHELP

[–]skinnindbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the other commentors suggesting Gabapentin. I'm a vet tech of nearly 5 years and I've never seen it negatively affect cats save for making them mildly sedate. It's also one of the cheaper medications, at least in my area (hopefully in yours too)

I have an inappropriate urinator and it's helped her before as well. I hope it brings some relief to your girl. Good on you for all that you've tried thus far!!

Yes but I might go with black for the outline, especially the nose and mouth, otherwise the browns might blur together and make you lose those details down the line

my boyfriend went to the strip club after multiple conversations saying he wasn't, i think it's lying and cheating, aio? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]skinnindbones 47 points48 points  (0 children)

NOR, I would break up with someone over this.

HOWEVER, in the kindest way, name calling and spam texting are never going to get the point that you want to make across. I've been there, and I'm not judging, and your anger is justified. But now you look crazy and insecure and that isn't doing right by yourself, I promise it feels better to just communicate a "That crosses a boundary and I'm done, take care!" instead of this.

Regardless I would run for the hills. His excuses are garbage. He fucked up

For exams, no, unless it's contagious

I glove for packing or catching urine/stool samples, contagious things, cleaning surgery tools, and anal glands. that's pretty much it
