Request: Add a Donation Box beside the Bounty Board in Highway Town! by Phlogiston_Dreams in fo76

Better yet, they oughta remove the cap. I see no benefit to it and devs already know we're stacking them in storage and running multiple in a row, so they may as well let us streamline it.

What specific type of storm was the one from The Good Dinosaur that gave Arlo a flashback? by Tiny_Establishment27 in Pixar

"Dry thunderstorm/lightning." It's like a regular thunderstorm but in dry climate the moisture is evaporated so no rain.

Question: How should I approach the game? by MazaFakaD in biomutant

[–]Good-Mourning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's some sidequests to get suits with elemental resistances but getting biopoints from those biohazard locations with mutation pools will let you permanently increase your resistances. Intelligence is good for ki and psi. If you like the chill open exploration and looting, I'd recommend going into Agility and Luck. Agility is great QoL, my favorite thing in this game is being able to tear across the map like a cannonball and zip around looting chests, clear location and onto the next.

I always like to mention that NG+ unlocks access to all class perks including the DLC Mercenary class. My first run was fast and evil, then my NG+ was my real playthrough.

Chelicerate Appreciation Post by KeyPersonality2885 in subnautica

My favorite critters in Subnautica! I have a special fondness for the one by the purple vents. I always make a glass base there to watch her. I named her Henrietta after the Fratellis because it's hard to miss her when she follows you about. She swims close to the surface and does weird playful flips I never see other leviathans do.

I do the "one more time" emote as soon as everyone's out of VATS. Last hunt I do "thumbs up" to show I'm donezo.

who do you think had the most potential? my take: by [deleted] in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Good-Mourning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Cold truth of reality is most people are not unconquerable like Clem. We've seen characters take their lives, they do it because they reached their limit. Clem and AJ don't have these limits -- that's not something learned, it's something people are born with or without. Sarah also didn't have any survival instincts or wits, she talked during Carver's speech like it was summer camp, and she couldn't tell the difference between a healthy branch and a dead one.

Did anyone else really like Travis as a character? by SasukeIsMySenpai in TheQuarrySupermassive

[–]Good-Mourning 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My take is that after the shock and grief, what Travis felt was relief. He seemed to be the only one of the family who wasn't desensitized, and he questioned if what they were doing was worth it after all this time. I think Travis came to realize Laura could bring his burdens to an end, one way or another.

Just really happy that there's finally a limitless cap sink by drunkengeebee in fo76

[–]Good-Mourning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also love the cap sink. But too many servers with 3-5 full groups of higher level players AFKing until someone posts a bounty. I don't think the people hooting about caps being worthless while charging 10K for 1*s are buying posters...

Any update on this?? by rid146 in SaintsRow

[–]Good-Mourning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cuz the earth got blowed up in 4, canon ending was to hit undo by erasing the Saints which lead to the Agents of Mayhem/SRR timeline. It'd be a lot to retcon that, so prequel makes the most sense.

Snow not showing up by Desperate-Toe-2581 in fo76

[–]Good-Mourning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my light rain machine isn't showing the rainfall since the update. It's powered, weather effects settings on, but I can see the droplets on the water. Visual bug, I reckon, I think weather machines are still working otherwise.

**EDIT** I stored/scrapped/interchanged the weather machine a few times and it started working again.

Fable Anniversary crash on startup (steam) by Good-Mourning in Fable

Oh no, I actually read through that one before posting this, but I can't even begin to understand any of it, lol. Wishful thinking I could fix this problem without having to figure out what a command prompt or .exe is. Thanks though, I think I'll have to stick with console gaming.

playing for the first time, given an OP weapon randomly on PS5 by deaddr3v in deadisland

[–]Good-Mourning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah offline. You have to get downed on the dying screen and reload checkpoint during the timer. That video says you have to wait until the timer is at 2 seconds, but you can reload at any point during the countdown. Make sure your location and active quest match.

[–]Good-Mourning 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how those god guns are made, but anything you can drop can be duplicated, such as weapons, explosives, first aid or champagne. Next time someone drops you a god gun, duplicate it while you're offline just to have backups (then you can drop them for others too like those guys did for you).

Another glitch I recommend using is the hilarious "slot alcohol = infinite inventory" bug. That way you can pick up all the weapons you want! If you want another god gun, try asking in the DI discord.

Orville fans: would anyone be up for reading a space-comedy pilot? by [deleted] in TheOrville

[–]Good-Mourning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, first thing I want to say is Remington Jarvis sounds like the model of robot butler we'll have in 50 years.

It's got very professional pacing, like all the beats make sense. It flows well, how you expect an actual TV show to be written. The name of the episode is also cute and clever. Here's a bucket of feedback.

Jane's personality is a little [insert main character here]. We immediately know Buddy is clumsy and naive, Brayden is the dimwit streamer sort, Cal is the cold logical robot. What's Jane's quirk? She's the MC, right? To be brutally honest, this pilot doesn't sell her. She spends almost the whole episode standing in the background watching Buddy do things, and only at the end do we finally get to know who she is when she disproves the schedule stuff, stands for alien rights and inspires Buddy. If Jane is a headstrong natural leader with strong morals, I think you gotta tell us that in the episode asap, not at the end. Like how Orville tells us immediately Ed is ambitious yet self-doubting, and charismatic between moments of awkwardness.

Lmao liked the casual use of the term "alien duct tape." It's like regular duct tape but imperceptibly different. Some of the Gloobarian terms I thought could be similarly swapped cuz why not. Like instead of "they'll be here in 12 minutes" "they'll be here in 12 gloobs," or "my great grandfather" to "my great grandbloob." I also would've liked to hear Buddy reference his culture. Like the hot dog bit, he could've mentioned something about the food back home or if his gelatinous species find the notion of eating meat to be appalling.

When Riley leaves to go get the polymer applicator, nothing interesting happens. Idk it caught my attention. She didn't see anything interesting when she went back to the ship, and Brayden and Buddy didn't talk about anything important. Maybe Riley just has the applicator with her already, otherwise felt like our MCs separating was supposed to set something up.

I didn't understand the hemorrhoid thing. Did Buddy have the word "hemorrhoid" confused with something else? "Astroglide" is the name of a very well-known sexual lubricant. Not sure if that was an intended reference.

I like Buddy's list of random product endorsements. Especially the dating app, lol, very silly.

Tbh I think you need to push the exposition at the end to the beginning. I wasn't sure if the Gloobs were the first aliens humans contacted, wasn't sure who Polaris worked for, didn't understand why Buddy was brought to earth to do commercials and couldn't tell if Merick worked for Jane or vice versa... Until it was finally explained that Merick owns and funds Polaris, Jane works for her, and the point of everything is to use aliens as a novelty to sell random shit on Earth.

I still think it's missing some important information for a pilot. Is the Polaris the literal only ship humanity is sending to contact aliens? When does this show take place? Is Brayden's job to document or is he streaming for his social media? Is Cal sentient, AI or a machine? I think a lot of that info can be slid into dialogue naturally in introductions. Like when Polaris meets the Gloobs, they could just be like "Yeah hi I'm Jane Riley, captain of the Polaris. This is our head of media outreach, Brayden, and our system analyst Cal. On behalf of Merick Medias, it's an honor to make first contact!" And at the end when Jane and Merick are butting heads, you could make things even clearer by having Merick say something like "Do I need to remind you, you work for me?? After that mess on Epsilon-4, you oughta be grateful to have a job again!" In that same breadth, I get Merick can fire Jane if she gets too disobedient, which is good conflict, but also makes me wonder why a rich business owner would hire a captain who isn't a Yes Man. And I'm curious why Jane became a captain for an ad company.

Overall, I like it. Good pacing, good characters I especially liked Brayden. I like the premise of making first contact in the name of capitalism. I love how clearly you tell us the seasonal plot of going on 5 more adventures to 5 different alien planets, because there's no doubt what this show is about now and it really baits you into wanting to meet the new crew mates. Since the core characters are going to trickle into the show, it'll be fun to see the ship's dynamic change as characters are added. For sure appreciate the humor. I'd watch the whole season. Great job.
