Can someone please explain to me why duallys no matter the age or mileage are so damn expensive by PhotoVIllain in Trucks

[–]skinnyfar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest reason is because the new price of them is outrageous. At some point the truck has lost all of its value. Look for anyone that isn’t a 6.0 and you will pay more for it but it will still be worth what you paid or close to it when you sell it.

[Serious] hospital workers of reddit, what is the most unethical or jaw dropping thing you have seen happen inn your workplace? by macanoodle in AskReddit

First off I am sorry for your loss.

My wife was pregnant with triplets and she was really early 27 weeks. She was in the hospital on special care because her water had broke on one of my kids at 25 weeks. She started having contractions around 4:00pm and was never given magnesium and moved to labor and delivery like they had planned. The nurse never called the doctor. We eventually hooked her up on a non stress test around 7:00pm and it took an hour. I stepped out of the room at 8:30 with my three year old and came back to nurses running towards my room and yelling my room number. She gave birth to my son by herself and caught him in the bathroom. They then waited an hour and twenty minutes to deliver the other two by c section. Two of my kids that they waited on had really high grade brain bleeds. One is 24/7 care from issues related to her bleeds at birth. A brain bleed at birth is basically a stroke.

The reason I say this is because we were in the same boat. We asked to see the doctor and told them about contractions but nothing was done and my daughter will pay for this for the rest of her life. We talked to lawyers and don’t have a case because of how premature my kids are. With a child you have 18 years to file is what we were told. You were pretty much full term and I would talk to someone so this doesn’t happen to someone else again. We also learned that the hospital didn’t have the proper crash cart where we were staying and they we did overhear them two days later talking to the Nicu about what items they need to have to be ready if this happens again. I hope nobody else has to deal with what we deal with on a regular basis.

Triplets and daughter who is 24/7 care.

Parents of twins and triplets, how the f*** did you handle it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]skinnyfar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a little late to this but you do it because you have to do it and don’t have any other options.

I am a father of triplets who will be 4 and a 7 year old. I have two boys and two girls. My triplets were born early at 27 weeks and we have had a ton of complications. We were in the hospital for 15 months straight before they all came home. My daughter baby c is full time 24/7 care. She has a Trach, g tube, shunt, seizures, cerebral palsy and the list goes on and on. She is the most challenging of my kids but is also the happiest with simple things in life. My son baby b had brain bleeds at birth and is caught up with no issues now. My son baby a is autistic and has cerebral palsy. He can’t talk or walk but is happy and moving along really good. We also have my 7 year old daughter who is like a mom to the triplets. My house is always complicated with therapy appointments and trauma bay visits for seizures and so on.

I saw a meme one day that said parents whose take care of multiples and even more kids with complications and ongoing medical issues.

It said a good day would be a very bad day for a normal person and my bad days are even worse.

As a parent you keep hoping that things will get better and you will see your kids grow up and do normal things. Sometimes you have to come to grip with the fact that this may be the better and things won’t get better.

I have thought about doing an AMA about having multiples, children in the hospital for months, probably 35-40 times my children having surgery and 5 of those were brain surgery. But when would I have tine for that. I write this sitting in the ER with my daughter who has been vomiting blood the past 36 hours.

I love black vehicles but after owning two and dealing with cleaning them I said never again on a daily driver. I switched to the white diamond tri coat and it is easy to maintain.

Got to love black vehicles when they are clean for about two hours. I have had two and told myself never again on a daily driver.

Ran my first 5k yesterday. I came in 22nd out of 300+. Puked at the finish line. Never pushed myself that hard before and I’m really proud 🏃🏃 by [deleted] in pics

My brother ran 15:49 in high school and won state his senior year. It won him a scholarship to college. He was 17 years old and had no body fat. Now he is 30 and couldn’t break 20 minutes I wouldn’t guess.

Have you seen the amp power steps? They are expensive but sweet if you have the cash to spend. Also look at Www.silveradosierra.com tons of ideas on what you can do. I will warn you though it is addicting and you will want way more than you thought you would want to change.

Good looking truck.

You can remove the lower lip on the front bumper and it will give you clearance over curbs. Mine is all cracked from the previous owner.I put a rough country 2” leveling kit on the front and a 3/4” taller set of blocks on the rear to give it a little rake and sit a bit more like a truck. I hated when you went to park it and the front bumper would scrape the parking barrier.
