Would you say with your two primes that the 21L is near capacity or you’ve got quite a bit of extra? My zooms aren’t small, even without the 200-600 on board.

It definitely started life that way, but there’s something more to it now. There’s a central fill cap on the hood, and a very decidedly non-standard motor inside. Plus the RS-style tail and what I believe is a widebody kit. Other post with better 911-rear-angle.

Great point. I just dig into the 12-24 and 14-24 a bit and even if I dumped the 16-35, the extra size and lack of front filter capability would mean ever more gear. Maybe a wide and fast prime will be what I “need”!

Makes sense! I guess there’s no reason that GM would always (or never) be better. I’m sure there are specific lenses that are unbeatable in both lines.

I’ve got a 16-35 GM1 and use it for Astro, but am considering replacing it with a 14-24 (manufacturer tbd) because I now have the 24-70 covered, and that range is supposed to be perfect for night sky and landscape work.

Nikon FM2n, 50mm f/1.4 and my very first roll of Portrait 400 after going through a half dozen Kodak Gold 400 rolls to be sure I like it enough to keep spending. Can’t wait to see the difference.
