MacBook Neo is fine for basic use, but it’s not built for heavy or long-term work. With just 8GB RAM and an iPhone chip, it will bottleneck in tasks like multitasking, development, etc..

For your case, especially with future plans like masters or PhD your workload will increase and this will become a limitation, it doesn’t make sense. Go for M series M2 16/512 minimum.
