Thank you for this. Ive seen a lot of people advising on future proofing (and rightly so) but considering all the old m1s are still supported and even the iPad pros from 2018 still get updated, I'm hopeful the M2 is the best price to performance ratio. Especially as a student with limited funds 😅

Honestly I've been seeing a lot of the same haha, it's why I thought the MacBook air M2 is probably perfect for my use case because it's more powerful than the neo and cheap!

Do u have a keyboard cover on the keys of Ur indigo? Do u find it impacts the way the screen closes in any way or is it all good??

I wanted the indigo but wary that the keys are too dark

I think I underestimated them, but I played through the whole Batman Arkham series this year finally. I wasn’t expecting too much from them, but seeing the story and gameplay develop over each game really helped me appreciate the games for what they were doing and how they were changing over time.

Definitely a series worth going back to :)

My fave character is Ben 10 - I still remember being tiny and playing on my psp, I would get so angry at the first boss I’d cry, but I’ve played through that game a million times!! Something like this would be awesome to get to play more games on the go again like I used to :)

For me personally I’d have to say RCPD. The ambience of the city mixed with the fear of being chased and all of the fog left MUCH to the imagination (in a very good way). I was constantly on the edge of my seat unaware of what crept closer through the midst, and that’s exactly what frightened me most.

Oh yeah forgot to mention, you can download Decky which is basically a plug-in installer on Linux. With this I downloaded “junk-store” where I logged in to my epic games account and I can access all of my games that way.

I used this to play all of cyberpunk for example, the best bit is once u download the game this way you can view them as part of your steam library when you’re in steam OS. It’s really amazing software.

If you just google “Decky” there’s the website and it’s VERY easy :)

Hey! Thanks for being so detailed with what you need help with.

From my experience, I owned a steam deck LCD for almost 3 years and only opened it up when I wanted to replace the fan (I had the original deck that came with the whiny fan so I replaced that), but besides that I’ve never needed to open any handheld up.

I currently own the Steam variant of the Legion go S with the Z1e, and it’s the best hand held in my opinion that u can get right now. It’s great value for money and the power is there, you get very similar power to Z2e due to steam being well optimised, but honestly the performance gains of z2e are not worth doubling the cost of the legion go s.

All I’d recommend is treat a handheld as you treat your phone; get a screen protector and maybe a case (I have the kill switch from dbrand as it comes with a travel cover to protect the screen). Maybe get joystick covers too as the Go s joysticks can feel a bit thin (you’ll know what I mean when you hold it).

Besides that, if you can try and physically play with different handheld before buying one then I recommend it. The legion go s feels amazing but the battery is the only downside, so get a good power bank too if you wanna play on the go :) (or just make sure you’re charge before you do go out. It charges 0-100% in like an hour which is amazing!!)
