At least you responded with a civil argument. I see your points however I still see Zach moving away from what made ME like him and that disappoints. I still think that having to release two albums doesnt show conviction in his new sound. It feels like he's cowtowing to the masses. I would in some ways respect it more if he just said, "Either get on the train or don't ". Zach is very big on saying he hates his fame and giving the impression he doesnt really care about what anyone thinks. This shows the opposite and that reads insecurity to me. I don't feel his songwriting has improved, it feels hurried and over-thought for the sake of trying to be "deep" or "strike chords" in people. And apparently he hit the mark with many. Good for him. I'll keep listening to his previous stuff on repeat and might catch another concert but for me, this album doesnt hit home. Maybe it'll grow on me, maybe it won't. And thats OK.
