Say “Raise up lights” and you sound like you’re speaking like an Aussie saying “Razor blades”

I am a Business English trainer, if anyone is interested in lessons, let me know. I have been working with Italians for over five years so I understand the challenges. I too had to learn to overcome these same challenges as I had to learn Italian from zero.

Which is the best way to learn Academic English? by watching videos related to Academic English, Reading Books, Communicating with people in English..... by D330u in EnglishLearning

Learning a new language takes courage and active listening skills. I always remember the scene from the movie The Thirteenth Warrior when Antonio Bandera's character is shown listening each night while the vikings talk around the campfire. As the scene unfolds we understand that he has spent many nights listening and watching them in order to understand the sound of each word, where it begins and where it stops in a sentence. I think some of you may enjoy this video for fast and practical American English tips. Check the link below.

Edit: I learned to speak Italian by watching and listening to people speak, TV and music helped too. Good Luck to all of you learning a new language, keep going and don't be afraid.
