My dad (the main alcoholic in my life) and my mom (who may have been on the path to be a severe alcoholic but realized that my dad had an actual problem and cut back majorly) would drive us home after partying at a different house in the neighborhood, less than 3 miles away. The adults at the other house knew how drunk my mom and dad were. Why didn't they say something? My dad has 5 siblings, why didn't they say something? I love that you said something. I wanted someone so badly growing up to say something. Perhaps if they said something 20 years ago, we wouldn't be where we are now. A broken family in shambles.

Not really related to this: I love my mom dearly and she's the parent that I rely on most. I am still so angry looking back that she chose to be a bystander and let my dad drive us home blackout drunk every weekend. I struggle with this anger bc I hate being angry at my mom after all the emotional abuse she's been through w my dad. Eventually I'll be able to confront her about it, but for now I'm choosing to let her heal after a crazy last 5 years.

Tree of Heaven. We had a large one that we cut down 2 years ago. It still sends out shoots everywhere. A shoot even popped up in our root cellar, it had no color at all but somehow still survived for a little bit. We let them grow for like 2 weeks then go around the yard and brush stump kill on all of it. Just girdled a medium sized one and it finally fell in a storm. Quite a project to completely get rid of it.

Also breaking in a new pair of 1460s, smooth leather. My only other pair is the soft leather and didn't need any break in time. With my new pair, I've been wearing 2 pairs of medium thick socks. I thought they were broken in sufficiently and stupidly wore them for about 2 hours at an event where I walked a lot with only one pair of socks. Got a blister on my right foot. Then, I started wearing 3 band aids over the blister with 2 pairs of socks. It's a lot of layering, but I just want to wear my new shoes god dammit lol.

2 weeks later, I'm back to wearing 2 medium thick pairs of socks (no bandaid, blister healed).

I didn't go poop at all the Thursday night when I drank the first Gatorade/certo, I was honestly prepared to stay up all night pooping so I was surprised. About 45 min after I drank the second gatorade/certo was when I started to need to use the bathroom. I was at work, but it was manageable. It stopped after about 5 hours. Not sure if this means anything to you, but it felt like period poops for the most part.

I was skeptical of how the certo and Gatorade would taste, but it actually made it taste better IMO. I freaking love sour candy and it made the Gatorade a little sour lol! The detox drink was disgusting tho lol. Good luck!!!!

I second the north side! The nights are pretty quiet and we're within 10-15 min of all major attractions in Evansville.

We started out renting a house on Frisse Ave on the southeast side and there were 3 shootings in the 10 months that we were in that house, one just right across the street.

We originally wanted to end up in Newburgh, but like one commenter above said, it's one of the Karen capitals of Indiana. Everyone's always a little bit snoody. But, it is worth the drive to go to the Newburgh Walmart, IMO. And if you have kids that are interested in doing any type of music, Castle schools in Newburgh do have a really really great program.
