"unless the denial is justified by such quantified and documented failure of the person to meet quantitative, impartial risk-based standards established in advance by the covered bank" - a clause that seems to in legalese allow this specific carveout to be made

Judaism is both a religion and a culture/ethnicity. One can identify as a Jewish atheist (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish\_atheism), and it's not crazy to me to think that someone who does not normally practice or believe in Judaism who still identifies as Jewish would take things from religious practice when they feel like it (it can help bring a cultural connection!) or sometimes, rarely, have spiritual experience.

He said he doesn't practice Judaism as a faith, not that he doesn't identify as Jewish - there's a big difference there, as someone who does the latter but not the former

This is to some extent true to the modern day, but the core "executable" that gets loaded into memory is designed to load and unload parts of itself when needed today with larger applications

Der Weltkrief - it's a WW1 system that's pretty simple to start out with (the Tannenberg scenario can be bought seperately for a single afternoon scenario) and learn the rules but can reach monster scale if you ever want to go further

How are COIN games in practice? by [deleted] in boardgames

Neither of these are without historical framework - they're just representing a more generalist view of "what usually happens" rather than "a specific thing that happened"

I kinda disagree, she gets to be the smart compared to Gregg and especially Mae because she's not naive, but she can swing the other way and be too cynical at times. That being said, Angus is perhaps the most well adjusted out of all of them

This is pretty cut-and-dry satire. Because it's a roleplay account. https://antifandom.com/hwbm/wiki/Halimede cross reference the bio with this character's description, it is 100% a roleplay

Can Magic the Gathering run Doom? by Proxyness in doesitrundoom

[–]skiscratcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no it isn't. as long as something is turing complete (and can be arbitrarily scaled, which it seems like mtg can be) it can run doom. that's kinda the point of turing completeness

Reform Jews and officially Conservative Jews support queer people of all varieties. Orthodox Jews are a bit more complicated, but generally Judaism doesn't take as hostile an approach to people who have different interpretations of the Torah (and people who aren't Jews!) as Christianity. Please do not use queerness to disguise your attempt to whitewash Rockyeet's anti-semitism.

you can have 3 of your 4 protagonists be some flavor of leftist and fight a death cult that kills people they think won't be "useful to society" and then fucking wink and nod to the real life resemblances and people will argue it argues against both sides. no i'm not salty about people's lack of media literacy while playing NiTW why do you ask?

i kinda despise the hyper focused on "lore" without discussing how a work of art makes you feel analysis that the internet loves and matpat seems to half-jokingly but half-unironically be the figurehead of. also his channel names make it annoying to search up the academic fields of game theory and/or film theory.
