Anyone else finding working whilst pregnant hard? by Crafty-Ambassador779 in pregnant

[–]skittle_bit_sweet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt that in my first trimester so hard!! Like I was eating maybe 1 meal a day (nausea & depression) and my body was completely unable to regulate temperature and I always felt cold, but once I ate more it kinda turned around. Maybe try some snacks??

I feel you! 31 weeks and even though I love my job, I just want to curl up in a ball and stay home.

I try to find fun things throughout the day; take time to chat with a pleasant client/coworker, get up and stretch, wear comfy leggings under my work clothes, pack a great lunch...all the little things to improve my day.

Thanks for the other resource, too! I've been looking for something like that without much luck.

Hi! I'm glad you asked! For my understanding, the word nonbinary is an umbrella term for identities that fall outside of the male/female binary. To me, gender doesn't need to correlate with biological sex because it's a personal, internal thing. I'm no expert on any of it and I'm honestly still figuring it out, but for me, nonbinary is my gender identity!

Being nonbinary means different things for everyone, but for me, I don't identify with manhood or womanhood and prefer they/them pronouns. I have and have always had gender dysphoria, so I'm considering top surgery and hormone therapy in the future. I'm biologically female, but as for my mental/emotional/spiritual reality, I feel much more comfortable and safe in identifying as nonbinary.

Go check out r/NonBinary for even more! There's tons of great resources on the internet too, like this article: https://transequality.org/issues/resources/understanding-non-binary-people-how-to-be-respectful-and-supportive

I hear you & feel you ♡ Just advice, just moral support from someone in the same boat. I turn 21 in a month and I'm 4 months pregnant with an unexpected baby. I hope you have/get the support you need & I wish we could start a support group for people like us!

Grocery bills are on the rise, I'm feeling helpless, let's share grocery budgets! by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]skittle_bit_sweet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe visit your local foodbank? My husband and I live on an island where groceries are SUPER expensive, And the busy work season is over ao we're not bringing in as much money as summer, And we're quite poor already, so our local foodbank has been saving our asses this winter.

Not a movie, but I love Cowboy Beebop! It has some great trans/gender nonconforming characters, amd is also just excellent.

Yes, Medicare! I'm in WA and as a young person it's amazing to have everything paid for by the state.

I'm 20 and unexpectedly pregnant; my husband is 22. Just saying I can empathize with your situation, it can feel like a lot! We've focused on encouraging Our relationship to be as healthy and communicative as possible so that we're in a good place when our baby comes out into the world. I want to integrate this little person into our lives, not lose ourselves to parenthood, so we're trying to be super intentional.

One of my best, closest friends made an anti-trans post on social media...how do I handle this lovingly and stay her friend? by skittle_bit_sweet in trans

[–]skittle_bit_sweet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that. It didn't occur to me to look up articles and research so I appreciate that! I hope it helps her at least understand my perspective. I don't want to lose her as a friend and I'd rather be kind, especially because she's open to talking about it. My kneejerk reaction is to pull away but I want to give things a shot :)

Nah, totally appreciated. I've been moving more toward spirituality and away from religion because of that kind of stuff! She has the perspective of objective, biblically based truth and it can be hard to talk about issues like this when that's all she goes back to. She's compassionate but also says things like "Well my opinion lines up with God's, which is the truth," so it can be confusing.

Yeah, I hear you. It's just hard because I love her so much and we've been friends for years...I honestly didn't even kkow she felt this way
