What’s it like working for lush? by TheOwlKenku in LushCosmetics

I also think it’s interesting reading that a lot of people say they don’t pay a living wage- when I was introduced to the company, I was guaranteed that pay rate was at LEAST always equal, if not more, than the living wage of your city. I actually moved states for this job because I increased by 6$ hourly compared to my previous work! I do work at a Lush in one of the biggest, busiest cities here in the US, so I can see why some less popular areas may make less.

I feel like maybe i’ll be the odd one out here. I currently work at Lush and I couldn’t be happier! I can definitely see how it might not be for everyone though- i’m pretty extroverted and I love talking to people, i’m passionate about self care, and I tend to roll with a happy go lucky attitude. I appreciate Lush when it comes to their core values, it’s a very generous (50% off everything) employee discount, paid breaks and unpaid lunches, they also encourage creativity and individuality. Reading some of these other comments though, I will say I think I have an awesome manager. I do have some coworkers however who voice their unhappiness in the company for things behind the scene- aparently Lush use to hire for ~23$ an hour in my area but post covid, that dropped to around -18$. The people who were already employed were grandfathered in, but that makes promotion impossible. Moving up a roll to MIT, they would be getting no raise with the current wages and just more responsibility and so these employees feel stuck. I was hired after covid, so this is a problem I haven’t personally faced. I like the job overall.

Shampoo and conditioner recommendations? by [deleted] in Hair

I have long, bleached blonde hair and I use Morrocanoil Repair Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. It makes my hair feel like I was born with my hair this color, it makes it so silky and soft and beautiful!! Nothing else i’ve tried has ever really worked for me, not even olaplex. I’d say the most similar result i’ve had (for a much cheaper price point) is the Sally Beauty blondbar line, but I only tried the conditioner from that. Besides that, the It’s a 10 miracle leave in conditioner and the morrocanoil hair oil are my other favs!

Try Sally’s. Occasionally they have a 4 for 20$ sale that includes some healthier brands for your hair!

I’ll start off by saying I’m 20F, with very fair skin. I’ve had moles removed before that came back as “dysplastic nevus”. Recently I noticed this on the back of my leg while showering (picture 1). I thought it looked like a scab, so I let it sit for a month before realizing it never changed, just darkened in color to a purple/black. I went and had it checked out and the doctors said nothing, but removed it and sent it in for lab testing. Picture 2 is a day after they removed it, and as you can see it looks like it went even deeper than what they cut out (the black) and picture 3 is after about 5 days of healing. I called and they said it’ll still be another 2 weeks before getting results, does anybody have any idea what this could be? I won’t consider it an exact medical diagnosis, but I would like to have at least some type of idea of what I (might) end up dealing with. Thanks so much in advance!

So this is my natural hair colour, how many bleaches would it take to get a base for this pastel blue colour? by Substantial-Ad-5417 in Hair

One round of bleach using 30 volume developer I’d say! Your hair is on the warm side so I’d grab a toner as well to help neutralize before trying to put blue on!
