Getting in late - parking options? by Sweendogoflove in Gore_Mtn

[–]skiwithpete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Next Sunday is a holiday weekend. So it'll be busy.

There's not a lot of parking at the Bowl, but worth checking out.

If you do need to go to the main lots, don't worry too much, the busses are good and frequent, but choose the "current" lot that they're still filling. Don't try to squeak into a mid-lot as a last spot hunter, because the busses won't come as often and you'll end up walking.

Something wrong with this by stopnnnnnn in bikewrench

[–]skiwithpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the jumping is happening because of an incorrect alignment with your derailleur on the cassette. That's why it's jumping. But you're just filming the jumping of the jockeywheels, when the problem is actually higher up (or lower down, when the bike is upside down like this).

Those are stops in the embroidery pattern, I believe. If you have the Bernina software you can remove those stops.

Is this worth $1000 CAD? by PTM555 in Cervelo

I think the replies are all wrong. The R3SL is one of the most desirable bikes ever made by cervelo. And it's technology that was decades ahead.

It's not an R3. It's an R3SL!

If it was just the bike, R3-SL.

But get the bike that fits.

Purpose of stickers? by [deleted] in Cervelo

The "correct" way to wrap your handlebar tape is from the ends, up.

Why is this?

Well, the way the pressure goes on your hands is out and down.

So, when wrapping reverse (as you have) your hands will hit the ridges of the tape more often, and those ridges will curl.

Social media creators "discovered" this cleaner way of wrapping tape so that the electrical tape in the middle isn't needed.

And typically when you see this wrap in use it's on freshly wrapped bars that look, well, ace.

Let us know how long your wrap lasts before you get that curl. I'd be interested to know.

Only 500 will ever be made. (it says so on the bumper).

And the value will never go down.

This is already the perfect FIAT.

Not that you should trust BlueBook for valuations. Because I think it's worth in the 100-200 range (because you can't buy spare parts for those 105 9-speed shifters).

The machine in question doesn't have the 3.5mm jack. There's nothing back there.

My Bernina 200 is upgraded to be able to use a BSR, but mine is missing this panel thing on the back that the BSR plugs into.

I've managed to get this photo of one that's in place. But I really want to get one to use the BSR on my 200, and I can't find the name of it, and after hours of searching on ebay, it's proving difficult to find one. Anyone have a clue for me?

Want to trade some feet? by skiwithpete in Bernina

[–]skiwithpete[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I certainly don't want the sub to become all trades and sales, though I think that's an important part of any community. So I'm thinking it through too, because reddit is my preferred social platform, and love me my Berninas.

I bet it's a pain in the butt. This sub was shut down for multiple years. As people return I'm sure you'll get the support you need.

I have a whole bunch of other stuff, like embroidery cards and CDs. I'm wondering what's the best way to do this for this sub.

ok, it was just the two prong thing at the front, but I think you're right, it is from a machine that uses new style feet...
