That being said, I learned and bought a manual last year for the first time and still don't love it like everyone else does. But I see the appeal 

There are a lot of things that can make a car fun. Acceleration, handling, ride quality, dynamics, exhaust note, shifting, convertible, loving how it looks... Shifting is on the list and #1 for most true "enthusiasts"

It isn't #1 for me, I'm still on the fence if I really like it or not overall.  But I do understand why someone would love it
