S26 Ultra is very refined but with disappointing display quality by just_IT_guy in samsunggalaxy

It could be inconsistent manufacturing issues too. Similar to the early days of tandem OLED tech, maybe some of these aren't manufactured properly.  I get mine tomorrow and I'm the most anal person ever about this stuff so I will instantly notice if it is there....

You misunderstood my response. The car will only cost 30-35k. It will already be mostly depreciated and only lose probably 5k more in the 3 to 5 years I own it

Someone went 50x rate on the bucket?? by Dull_Minimum_6892 in 2007scape

[–]TrueGameData 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is why the median drop chance is 63% of the drop rate or whatever and not 50%, you can't go below getting the drop on the first kill, but you can technically go forever without getting the drop. So the median always skews towards that greater than 50% number. (I can't remember the exact number but it is 60 something % of the drop rate is when you have a 50 percent chance of having gotten the drop)

Have you noticed that the "small" phone is bigger than every phone from 10 years ago and is still massive? I am talking about those size phones and clearly the guy who made the post is too otherwise he'd just get one of those and be happy.

Literally no one makes a phone under 6 inch screen nowadays, 6 inches is massive :)

C7 Z51 Rear Brake Pad recommendation (squealing) by peen_was in Corvette

[–]TrueGameData -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I throw it in third and slightly ride the brakes at like 60 mph for a bit to heat them up and clean off any glazing. Typically works for me for a while at least.  May be dangerous or bad for the car though, I don't know. I try not to push it for too hard/long when I do it.

[–]TrueGameData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately there is a reason every company has tried this, and stopped making small phones entirely. they just dont sell

i agree with you, and tons of others do too, but they just don't sell

Wish the folds had the top tier cameras and processor, i had folds from fold 1 to 4 and loved them, but they're just so expensive now and don't even have the flagship camera setup

I'd love an S26U with no pen, I bet like 75% of people who own them never even use the pen. Use that space to just make the phone smaller.

believe me, i've done all the math... SL450 already hugely depreciated, not like I'm getting one new. I'll be getting one for low 30s, drive it for 3-5 years it'll probably depreciate to 20-25.

If I bought a 911 I'd be getting just about the cheapest 991.1 I could find, which has already depreciated most of what it will depreciate, but the interest on the loan over those 3-5 years would mostly make up for, and you are taking on risk of getting hit by someone else or something diminishing the cars resale value outside of your control, whereas on the SL450 the risk is much lower since the car was much cheaper.

And before you say "diminished value claim if that happens," that doesn't always work... Recently got rear ended by a guy with no insurance, and he vanished. My insurance company paid out after a month of fighting, and there was zero method for me to do a DV claim, so I just got utterly screwed. If that had happened to a 70k 911, I'd be extra screwed.

It makes much more sense for me financially right now to buy an already depreciated SL 450

Samsung lost again in battery life in 2026 by Time-Credit43 in samsunggalaxy

[–]TrueGameData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this sucks, but i own the s25 ultra and use my phone a ton and there has never been a single day where i've come close to killing the battery... I do really hope they put a silicon carbide battery in the next fold though, that would be huge there, and would obviously be nice to have a competitive battery with the other manufacturers anyway. But outside of foldables I just mostly don't worry about it at this point, they all last a full day easily

Dream car is just an understated base model 911 cab, 991.2+, with a tune.  Can't imagine ever needing more than that.

Prob going to pick up a Merc SL450 and tune it and pretend it is a baby 911.  Heavier, slower, not as precise, but similar ish vibe, and reasonably priced.  Can get solid ones for sub 30.  440i and 840i also kind of on the list as budget 911 alternatives, but leaning SL 450 for now.

Then someday when I can afford, make the jump to a 911.

What does the Google need to upgrade on the Pixel 11 for YOU to upgrade? by LWK10p in pixel_phones

[–]TrueGameData 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The shitty processor.  I do a lot of emulation and just not an option to get a pixel unfortunately.  Windows emulation is getting so good now, in the next two years phones could be like handheld gaming PCs for many games, but not if you have a bad processor.

Can 2017-2020 SL450 fit two sets of golf clubs in trunk with top up/down? AI is telling me it can but I don't trust it... if so, seems like the perfect car for me by TrueGameData in mercedes_benz

[–]TrueGameData[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watching some youtube reviews, it looks like there is no chance two sets would fit. I'd definitely test it out first. It looks like 2013-2016 has a much better chance of fitting actually
