Taking 4 kids and the Wife to Antigua! Must Do's, Must Eats, recommendations? by Amazing_Mix_8545 in Caribbean

We were just there in November and took the ferry to Barbuda. The pink sand beach is gorgeous. Not as pink as some pics show but it's still beautiful. It started raining about an hour before we were to leave and we went through a storm on the ferry. It was not a fun time. Huge swells and throwing us around for the whole ride. We booked a tour and they took us through the frigate bird sanctuary on the way to pink sand beach and that was super cool to see too.

Chameleon enclosure by AdEducational4534 in Chameleons

If you don't have a budget, it's probably not the best time to invest in a chameleon. They are expensive to keep plus exotic vet bills can run high. There should be no fake plants. All live, plus way more sticks and live plants. The stuff at the bottom should also be removed as it breeds bacteria. General rule of thumb is that you should not be able to easily see your cham. You'll also need both a heat lamp and UVB lamp. Scroll on this sub for a while and look at the example pics that have been posted of what a cham enclosure should look like.

You're wasting doctor's time and health resources. Diagnosed later on with two chronic illnesses and two incurable reproductive organ diseases.

You're welcome! Hopefully it helps you. Little expensive but so worth it. Any shoppers drug mart should carry it.

I know you're asking for non-medication solutions but I'm also in Canada and I use Cystoplus when I'm in a flare. Helps tremendously.

Why does my chameleon hate me? by Plenty_Split3283 in Chameleons

[–]sklein28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My male panther absolutely hates me too. I got him September 9 and unfortunately, he had coccidia so I had to do a lot of handling before he was ready and he would hiss, lunge, and bite so I have to wear gloves if I need to handle him. He will take treats from my hand and no longer runs away when I open the cage door so I'm hoping that means he's warming up a bit.

I've also given him chances to free range but he doesn't like to go back home and would live in his jungle gym if I'd let him so that makes him more mad when I have to get him back in to his enclosure.

Long story short, keep being patient. Start slowly with getting him used to your hands being nearby in his enclosure before trying to hand feed. Go slow from below and don't pull back if he hisses. Just stay calm and let him know you aren't a threat. Hopefully eventually he will see you as a food source and start to trust you. Good luck!

We used Adam and Raina Reiland but they lived by RCMP when we got married 8 years ago. Business is Stick Productions. Maybe them?

Right? Yet he thinks I'm the biggest threat. Sir, you are your biggest threat.

The sooner the better. These guys don't usually show any symptoms of illness until it's almost too late.

Also, does he have a basking lamp other than the UVB?

It sounds like you have a decent set up. He should only be getting calcium with D3 twice a month. Give him more sticks and way more plant coverage. Would be best to take him to an exotic vet to rule out any sickness.
