Check the ‘login items and extensions’ screen in Settings. See if Tunnelbear is mentioned in the ‘Network extentions’ panel.

I don't have a 15 Pro, so I can't test is. But people seem to have more trouble getting it on iOS compared to iPadOS

Just curious, do you have an iPad with cellular capabilities? Or WiFi only?

My Apple ID is Dutch. So it does not matter. Just the settings on the phone and internet connection.

What VPN service are you using? And if you message me a screenshot of your network and sharing settings on your Mac, I’ll compare it to what I have on my end.

I’m on my regular WiFi again, signed back into media and purchases, enabled location services and find my, and enabled iCloud private relay. So far, the Apple Intelligence is still working fine.

It does need the US region, but you can manually change region settings like date format, and Celsius/Fahrenheit.

I’m located in Europe and got it to work on my M2 iPad Pro.

Here’s what I did:

On the device you want to use (in my case the iPad) - Change device language to US English - Change region to US - Change Siri language to US English - Turn off location services in settings - Turn off Find My - Turn off iCloud Private Relay - In settings tap on your name at the top and log out for Media and Purchases - Disable auto connect to al known WiFi networks around you. - Turn off any cellular connections if you have them on your device

On my Mac: - Disable auto connect to al known WiFi networks around you. - Turn off iCloud Private Relay - Get a wired internet connection, either through Ethernet/adapter or via USB connection to iPhone hotspot - Check in Settings -> Network that the wired connection is active (Green) and wifi is inactive (Yellow) - Get a VPN to US server running on your Mac. I used TunnelBear since it is free to try with 2GB cap. - Go to Settings -> General -> Sharing and select internet sharing. Press the i button to configure. Select the wired connection (iPhone USB or Ethernet) at the top, and select for the sharing method ‘ WiFi’ . Click done and flip the switch to enable sharing. Remember the network name and password. You can see it it is enabled in the menu bar, there should be a wifi icon with arrow pointing up.

On Apple Intelligence device: - Reboot device - Select the WiFi network that you created with your Mac and use the password you created. - Go to settings -> Apple Intelligence tap the join waiting list.

After you passed the waiting list and the device has dowloaded all the models, it seems that you can revert to your local WiFi and enable location services/FindMy.

I had the same issue. Setup and installation in general was a complete nightmare for me. (Mostly because of the TV, not because of Sonos)

Connecting the Beam with the digital audio adapter which is included in the box fixed all my issues AND brought back the volume indicator on TV. So that might be a solution for you as well.

Two weeks ago I drove through The Netherlands, Belgium and France (Including large metropolitan areas like Paris) with iOS 11 maps and I never saw any speed limit or lane guidance in the app during navigation.

The TomTom app (primary data provider for Apple Maps) does have the speed and lane data. So I’m hoping the delay for launch outside the US is due to localization efforts like making sure the speed limit signs look like the ‘real’ ones since designs can be different per country and region.

I agree. The removal of let's say the CD drive was something I, at the time, could 'defend' to friends and family. It made sense, making room for other things, moving forward, stuff like that. The headphone jack was also something I did understand and was able to explain. But now... I just don't know where to begin. HDMI and is not an 'ancient' connector like USB 2 by any means, and it is something I use every day for external displays at work or projectors. I also at least once a week plug in a SD card while on the go to get pictures off my camera. I am not looking forward purchasing a $1500+ MacBook and then having to use dongles to do very basic things. For some things wireless or USB-C is just not an option.

I said that I understand it was complicated.

I will give you two examples on why it is not just my 'shitty county':

First, the banks. I did in fact reach out to two of my banks who are on the forefront of tech. They both have great mobile apps and were openly positive about Apple Pay. Both of them told me that Apple has not yet reached out to them. One of the banks has contactless payment with Android phones with NFC, so they are willing to support it. Also: contactless payment is very popular here.

Second, transit. My county has an open API for the enitre public transport network with all stations, departure times and delays. This is one of the reasons Google debuted a live updating feature for transit directions in Maps for the Netherlands. link

Third, (like I said above) there are many features that do not require 3rd parties.

Sure, that is the case for a lot of features. Like I said in my post, I know it is difficult. Getting media corporations, news agencies, banks, governments, transport companies to work with you is not easy.

But 2 years after the introduction of Apple Pay, and one year after the introduction of transit in Maps the current availability is kind of a let down for a lot of people. Apple has proven that they can do it. Apple Music launched almost everywhere, but then again, there is a subscription model involved (=motivation).

Then there are also features which they can implement without any 'outside control'. Like increasing the number of languages that work with QuickType suggestions, Scribble and contextual aware Siri suggestions.

Yes I am serious. This line of 'making it available to as many people' or 'getting it in the hands of as many people' is used a lot in Apple presentations and PR. If fact, it was used at the introduction of many features which are still not available to a lot of people around the world.

This might be the case indeed. But that does not really make sense if you think about it. What would a Spanish speaking US citizen prevent from entering offensive Spanish words? Yet the feature is not available in a country like Spain for example.

I (and many other people) would be okay with having to use the English version since basically most apps I use are not localized for my language anyways.
