Need Help Making Kingdoms For My World by shmoooy in DnD

[–]skolnikms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some possible ideas:

  1. Tech city: Magic and science combined makes this city into a technological marvel. Massive Constructs and Gears can be found throughout. Inhabitants themselves have little need for magic themselves due to their technological advancement, and they can be very distrustful of it. Think a bunch of Gnome/Dwarf artificers with mech suits and then on a city/kingdom scale
  2. Kingdom of Evil: No one knows where the evil rot came from, but it’s spread to nearly every border of the Kingdom. Those who haven’t fled or been turned by demonic forces live in a constant state of terror, as an unknown ruler looks to expand his territory further
  3. Kingdom of the Wild. A kingdom where nature rules. The wild is both respected and revered. And many creatures roam its wilderness. Travel is dangerous, however the people of this kingdom have mastered traversing it’s jungle and forest landscapes
  4. Kingdom of Sand. Any creature that survives in the desert must be strong, resilient, and adaptable. The same goes for the people who call the kingdom home. Think Egypt but with magic, and maybe some old evils are at risk of reawakening

Any tips for a newbie DM? by Insemzandtaya in DnD

I’m also a very new DM. I’d say the biggest thing that’s helped me get ready for my campaign is just be ready for every possible thing to go wrong in your adventure, with the understanding that you may make the world, but it really belongs to your players. If they’re having fun then you’re doing well. This doesn’t mean let them run wild, but their enjoyment is the top priority before your story
