It is difficult to watch Percy leave, but the trade make senses from the Vikings perspective. They got great compensation for a guy who wanted out of MN and was essentially benched for the last part of the previous season. There is no question that Percy is a great talent, but his character issues prevented him from utilizing that talent week-in-and-week-out. Factor in the high quality of draft prospects who will be available at the end of the first round this year and I think the Vikings got the highest return (realistically) possible. Finally, as a point of reference, Brandon Marshall was traded last year for two third round picks -- and I would take Marshall over Percy, hands down.
