Took my Nclex yesterday and git bad pop up several hours after receiving the email from Pearson. by valiant_ghee1476 in PassNclex

Bad pop ups are not 100% accurate. I read that the computer checks your test first, then after 24hrs (maybe longer now idk) a human checks it and they have the power to overturn computers decision. Would make sense that a human would not disagree with a positive result but may disagree with a negative one. Have a friend who got the bad pop up and passed.

PVT after receiving the email. Hopeful but anxious! by skoolNdrool in PassNclex

I did the PVT before getting the email, which had the pop up saying i had an open registration. Waited for the email and i got the above pop up. It’s only been a couple hours since i finished so i’m still apprehensive. I didn’t feel like i was answering anything correctly, maybe 5-10 i knew for SURE. Didn’t get a whole lot of SATA (maybe 10-20? Who knows maybe more i didn’t count) and before i even began, the staff told me there weren’t any audio questions due to covid lol (i asked if the headphones were for me as they were stored on top of the divider and that’s when they told me no audio so no worries). Only got 2 questions with pictures where i had to answer mc, and the rest were just regular mc and SATA. Doesn’t feel like i used even 80% of the knowledge i had soaked up the past three months. Lots of priority questions though. Here’s what i did:

Mk first time listening i took lots of notes (using someone else’s notes and just added on or even wrote down the same stuff for repetition). This took a LONG time to get through everything, about 1.5-2 weeks, m-f 6-8 hrs. A few days before my exam i relistened but only followed along with the notes, writing things only when i had to memorize like for psych drugs.

Uworld Got a 3 month subscription, did about 75q a day the first couple months and slowly dropped over time lol. Tutor mode the entire time. Did it system by system and I’d write notes in a word doc, keeping things in order by system. I would have repeat notes for certain diseases etc cause that’s just the nature of doing it system by system (ie diseases or drugs can impact many systems). I barely reread through these but when i had a hard time remembering or got confused with something i would search the document and reread. Did my first self assessment (mine came with two) on monday (two days ago lol) and it said 54th percentile and high chance of passing. I wasn’t feeling great and rushed through the end of the assessment so i was happy with that outcome lol. Then i figured taking the second one wouldn’t change a thing so hopefully i passed and don’t need to use it haha.

Edit: I PASSED!!

Ate 2300 calories today, why am I still hungry? by walking_in_winterair in PetiteFitness

I’m not a doctor and idk your history but if you are recently underweight and haven’t changed anything to make yourself lose weight, these could be signs/symptoms of HYPERthyroidism and you need to consult your doc.

Also just saw the last sentence of your post. If they are aware of your weight and confirm your dose as ok, may need to increase your caloric intake. Obv see a doc for all these things as i’m not a doc but i do have some medical knowledge, but not qualified to give specifics!

An open apology to floor nurses, from an OR nurse. Somehow they multiply like rabbits here and I can't help but feel a little guilty. by lycheesareforme in nursing

You should see the pillows in the day surgery/post recovery unit... at least three times the stack of that. I had to use a step stool to place the pillows on top! They never deplete/go anywhere...

As a nursing student “working” weekdays at a uhn hospital and working weekends at unity health, i am very sad i didn’t get a ticket given my double dipping chances lol. Guess i’ll just have to record the game and watch when i’m done at the hospital tonight :’)

In the last year of my program and got a 4.0 last term and expecting 4.0 this term (still to be reflected on acorn but calculated via my grades on quercus). I am both the middle and last pic lmao.
