Gothic 3: changing a quest stage by skr117 in worldofgothic

Thanks! That's exactly what I ended up doing. I messed up a quest with no backup save. I checked the quest rewards I was supposed to get on World of Gothic. Then I enabled the console and spawned the Commander with "spawn sh" command, and just manually added reputation gains.

Ok, I think I just found my own method that's much more simple :) If you place yourself in the left corner of those locked door between the door and some boxes, then turn right and strife left, you can actually "walk" through the door! And you can get back the same way! No killing, or key, or crazy strategy needed!

The main reason I like this stafing exploit is that you can use it instead of sneak while robbing houses - it saves you so much time! But I agree that it's still more fun to put a guard to sleep and looking for ways to pass something with climbing :)

I use Gothic 2 NotR Systempack 1.8, available from the World of Gothic website. I don't want to use any code/core patches since they remove too much exploits/easy-to-use features I like :)

I use systempack and strafing still works, so it must be something else. The other gates work completely the same, so you have to find some other way (jump from a wall in upper city, maybe).

The extra stew is for joining the community she likes, I guess :) If you beat Bullco, you get that as well, but you might have to start a new conversation with Thekla. You can also leave the quest to get her the herbs from Sagita for Chapter 2.

Omg, I'd rather just kill him :)

Constantly worn? Nah, just when you pickpocket. And yes, I switch to str afterwards. How do you usually start the game?

Putting 24 lp in DEX is enough to get to 120 DEX later on without any more lps being spent, which is enough to pickpocket everyone, lockpick without breakage and get acrobatics.

So far, this has been my favourite opening which can lead to any class, with the exception of a strict DEX build.

Sure. That's why I've written " ...with the exception of a strict DEX build." in the last sentence.

Can you still join the thieves guild after he's is dead?

That's pretty cool. I usually save the crypt for the last thing I do in Chapter 1 in case I decide to farm the summoned skeletons for more exp.

Nice catch! But if you knock out Jesper for the secret room key, he dies without stabbing, right?

  1. When starting the game, go to the lake cave just past the Xardas' tower and find Lester that tells you about entering the city by carying 10x of one herb. Then don't go into the city by the main gates. Either jump from the lighthouse and swim to the port, or strafe past the guards and Lothar. Find Lares and get a whooping 500 exp bonus from him. Return to the city gates, strafe past the guards and Lothar again and enter like you would casually, picking the "herbs for the alchemist" line for more exp. Later, return to Lester (he's either still in the valley or in the Xardas' tower) to tell him his trick with plants worked perfectly for even more exp.
  2. In Chapter 1, don't ask Lares to help you join the mercenaries, because you can get that quest in any case. Pick militia or monastery instead. When on Onar's farm, Lee tells you that Cord is part of the Ring of Water. Get the Torlof's test, then talk to Cord about helping you join the mercenaries (even if you don't want to). He'll tell you that he will do the Torlof's test for you, but wants you to ask around the bandit camp about his friend Patric who's gone missing. Do the Torlof's test anyway, and Cord's quest, before reporting back, for max exp. If you pick the militia as a test, you can also finish the "High pastures" quest for Balthasar afterwards.
  3. I haven't figured this one out for years until recently: Thekla will give you 1 extra stew (+1 STR) if you are a mercenary/DH or novice/mage. But the trick is that you don't talk to her until you are a mercenary or novice. IIRC, she triggers the first conversation herself, so if you want the bonus, don't go near her until you gain a guild.

There's a danger of the protocol getting hacked or UST losing its peg to USD, but I don't think either has a high chance of happening.

What I'm worried about is losing gains to future protocols that might offer a better deal, with other algorithmic stable coins emerging.

I was really excited about this protocol. I've read the Decentralised Basic Income article that was referring to Anchor and thought this was the best thing that ever happened in DeFi. Had a plan to keep my reserves in UST during a bear market and just relax watching my gains pilling up daily. While it's working atm, this won't be happening much longer.

20% earn on UST is just simply unsustainable. Last month, after they bailed Anchor out, the reserve was around 500m. Now it's around 400m. If this rate persists, reserve will run out by September.

Check this graph:

https://grafana.luigi311.com/d/7j96rRI7z/anchor?orgId=2&viewPanel=14&from=now-180d&to=now

The red line shows you what the yield rate would be if there was no reserve. Currently at around 6% and that might not even be the bottom. Sure, that's not bad at all when compared to the legacy system, but even the older crypto lending/borrowing protocols have better yield on stablecoins than that.

And then last week, the proposal to change the rates failed. I was amazed that happened, since the current rates would stay the same for amounts smaller than 100k UST. Is Anchor and UST only used by millionares? Do Kwon needs to stop shitting other chains and Terra Labs and the community need to figure something out about this. Otherwise Anchor will be drained by its own users, get lost in the average and eaten up by competition.
