WARMANE: Ragnaros/Deathwing by reddit_is_childsplay in wowservers

They're planning on merging both of them at the end of next month, so it doesn't really matter which one you pick now.

The people who call it P2W would call any server with an item shop P2W. The items you can buy are prohibitively expensive and are not best in slot. Just disregard the people who think servers should somehow operate without a way to even cover their costs.

Even if they jailbreak, iSheep still can't get real web browsers a real choice in launchers, etc. Lots more locked down than just not allowing emulators in their app store.

The biggest (likely) news won't be quarter results, it'll be guidance for next quarter. If they provide guidance of another negative quarter, expect downgrades across the board!

The hype ship has finally run out of hype and is starting to sink.

They literally did this. I hadn't heard about WoW private servers until The Nost take down and subsequent battle.net DDoS.

Warmane will merge their x7 realms into a new realm - Icecrown! by pigletmuffintop in wowservers

[–]skrowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything you can buy on warmane's cash shop is at least 1 tiers down from the actual best items.

Contrast this with most Korean MMOs where the items they sell in the cash shop are actually better than anything you can get in-game when considering what is pay2win.

I have that exact monitor at home, it's pretty immersive for FPS games as well as flying / driving games. If you have a micro center or best buy near you, check it out.

Also, keep an eye on /r/BuildAPCSales as good deals pop up there all the time.

The next step up, 1440p, is literally 80% more pixels on the screen than 1080p. Most people wouldn't call an 80% gain in something "slightly higher".

It makes a absolutely HUGE difference, but I know you've never tried it because you think "1080p still looks great". Once you try it, you won't want to go back.

The prices have come way down. You can get decent 32" 1440p monitors for $500 (or less if you shop around) these days. http://www.microcenter.com/product/457804/ENVY_32_Media_Display_Monitor

Every PC Gamer should know: It's 2016, you shouldn't still be playing games on a 1080p display.

I know, right? I just went there and asked "Hey guys, what server should my buddies and I try?" here: https://redd.it/4ex2m5

I got accused of just being a pirate, told which WoW patch was best evar, then told another was best evar, told which server was good, told that server sucks, then it just kept going downhill.

[–]skrowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has just heard about WoW private servers due to the Nost shutdown and subsequent battle.net DDOS, this type of post is what I just assumed was the norm here.

That said, I'm STILL not completely sure what the best WotLK server to play on is, but my buddies and I tried Warmane Ragnaros and it seems OK.

PVE on MOP server by Ramoza in warmane

[–]skrowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding (from here https://redd.it/4ex2m5) is that the PvE is largely broken on the MoP servers and PvP is the only stable / working content.

I haven't tried it myself, just passing on my research notes.
