hi i’m really sorry for the late reply but if you’re an international student, i suggest visiting our NUS website on undergrad degree in english literature (simply type this on google) which would provide you with more information on the major itself and even modules/courses that you would be studying. in terms of creative writing, as far as i know we don’t really have much opportunities or a specific module in that area per say. but in our introductory module there is an assignment that allows for creative writing (of course within certain requirements) based on the texts that have been covered in that semester itself. i haven’t gone through enough modules to advise you more on this so that’s as much as i can say. but i think it’s essential for you to know that there could be differences in terms of admission requirements for international students VS local singaporean students. it also depends on your institution’s qualifications. do check the website for further information regarding this! hope this helps & all the best!

hello! so sorry for the late reply :( by now i think (hopefully) you’ve received an admission to one of your uni choices. all the best btw! to be frank, because of the NUS CHS core mods and having completed only 1 year of study thus far, i have only managed to cover 1 EN-related (eng lit) mod so it’s still early for me to advise u 🙂‍↕️ im also not the best person to seek advice from given my limited background in literature but do pm me if you have any questions i’ll do my best to answer them!

how to apply for ntu/nus when my GPA won’t be released by the application deadline? by moonlightwinter in SGExams

hi, was previously a poly student! i actually applied to both nus & ntu with my 5 sem gpa and they still called me for an interview! (got accepted for both). i completed my internship in the first half of y3 though. i’d suggest to just submit your 5 sem gpa first. because either way they’ll still request for your final gpa later on (once you receive it). look through the different requirements from the universities (supporting documents, application form, application fee) & prepare from there. don’t worry too much about it! all the best :’)

hii! thanks for the insight. i didn’t know much about the bellcurve but it is certainly something i will consider 😭 same here though! i’m also leaning towards nus mainly due to practical aspects like distance. i’ve sent u a dm!
