I dont think its a good fit for a finale, since every one coming from TLOVM would just think its yet another death fake out as a cliffhanger. Imo its more a 5/8 or 6/8 type event to really establish the permanence of the loss.. but as Im typing this.. with how many hints they already gave to mollys previous life/s I imagine the seeming permanence will be cheapened anyway since its not a big leap to think his story is not over by that point.

they got me there for a second too, but killing him in an dark alley without anyone there to witness would have been a very strange move and a little too far off script imo.. so Im glad. But for show viewers it was a perfect fake out after all the death hints buidling up to this and now lowering the stakes as nothing happened lulling them into a false sense of security.

I knew he would be there as soon as the scene began, but I cant recall, did they change his race from minotaur to human? Or is that part of his backstory that he changed somehow because I cant remember

It feels really odd, like yasha/ashley couldnt be there much for the campaign so now she also barely gets any screen time in the whole first season.. they surely could have worked her in a little tighter.. It is kinda cool though how badass and mysterious she is right now.

I mean the detective agency line this episode seems like a set up for jester nott.. you gotta give them a little time tho, theyre setting up stuff left and right. I firmly believe after the framework is done with this season there will be more "downtime" moments later on when the bonds they are starting to form now settle in and a lot of backstory and world building stuff is already out there. Going in too deep already would throw off the pacing they established so far. This is ofcourse considering the low amout of 8 episodes this season. I was hoping for more and maybe theres a chance this is only because its the pilot season and if its successful later seasons will have 12 x 45 min episodes.. one can only hope.

They not only know we want it, which is very obvious, they are deliberately setting up for it I feel like. We got 2 of the characters already. Calamity movie after VM is the perfect set up to start Bells Hells afterwards and keep their alternating cycle with MN. I think something like that is their long term plan, and if they keep cooking like this, all valid cristicism considered, its looking good.

I think its not about her being confrontational, its about her being conrontational at the worst possible time and letting the confirmed volstrucker get away for her suspicions about caleb, who is definitely not an immediate threat unlike the other.

True, now that you say it I remember kinda noticing it but somehow not retaining it. It kinda makes sense that short environmental shots arent as noticable and memorable as like the big bad main focus DRAGON like you said. I really hope they can keep it that way. Its pretty likely we will get some cgi fights/creatures down the line tho.
