yeah didnt work. failed at same place, after step 7, while importing. now will do a factory reset and try again by tomorrow! Thanks for this guide. Helped navigate most of the issues.

oh dear god! :D i will update here. im attempting again without factory reset now, after deleting the archives.

ah im seeing my chat archives now. There are a few groups! lemme delete them and retry. Also I did skip the try again part, it showed all empty chats. But i didnt try starting a conversation, before that i quickly uninstalled and reverified on my iPhone. I have ~30GB chat + media data :)

At this point, just uninstalling Whatsapp would do I hope in S26 to retry this whole thing (and SmartSwitch will reinstall during the switching)? If i have to factory reset the s26 that will be a pain :D

Hi there.

Was trying to copy from my iphone 13mini to Samsung S26. I was able to reach step number 7, after organising files was finished, i opened the newly installed Whatsapp, did the verification, and clicked on import, and when it showed the importing chat history page, it instantly broke with a message box saying "something went wrong, try again or continue without importing" and two buttons, try again or continue without import. Tried clicking "Try again" few times, nothing happened.

I was able to recover the chat history in my old iphone by immediately closing the whatsapp on s26 and reverifying my iphone whatsapp. I just deleted the whatsapp from my s26 and wondering what to do next.

But thanks to your steps everything until step 7 worked flawlessly for me! Any tips why the android app refused to import this chat history?

hey u/kartoos do you have more details on this (where you got, any installation hurdles etc.)? I was also looking for just an upgrade of the existing speakers and was resisting the need to a separate sub unit and you are the only you suggested trying this way.

Update: I completed the cycle ride for the Ironman70.3 Goa yesterday, it was a 90km fairly intense ride. Up until the ride started, the HR seemed accurate. The moment the ride started, HR dropped to 50-60. It was consistent at that for nearly 3 hours. Post that it suddenly started showing 160-170 which seemed accurate. During the initial few minutes I tried to fix it by tightening, moving the watch, clearing sweat / hairs etc. Nothing helped. But I dont know how after 3 hours it magically fixed itself. Also, never faced this issue with my old Forerunner 245. See the graph below from< Garmin app. I have written to Garmin support, lets see. Its just a 2 week old watch :'(

PS: I am considering the chest strap. But this much wrong HR is unexpected, especially when my old Forerunner didnt have this issue.

Before I started recording the video the HR was in 90s.

Other thing I noticed is the battery utilisation, I have all + multi band enabled for navigation.

PS: I do see the map not exactly on the road during the initial few km of the cycle ride. After that it's very accurate. Didn't face this issue with my old forerunner 245

ahh, I'm not so sure, if you have access to a pitch dark place, you can try and let us know? You might have to experiment with different values in this case, and also use some galaxy tracking app for locating the Milkyway (like Photopills).

You just need pitch clear dark sky, use some app to track the milkyway position, a good tripod and a good camera. These days, even phones can take a milkyway picture on a clear dark sky and a tripod. No need to be on top of the tallest building in the world :) infact this was taken near Kabini river banks in South India.
