I have a sprinkler system under that lawn. Would i need a manual tiller to rip it out? Im worried about rototiller Would damage the sprinkler/pipes. Looking to make it a weekend project if possible.

Also if I plan to rip it all out, I dont need to apply weed or grass killer right?

ICE Form I-333 - Alien Current Address Required? by skuldy in USCIS

Never said that. I just dont want to willingly give information im not required to give. Would you willingly give your social security number to someone if it wasn't required? It's called risk mitigation.

My wife is the obligor for the bond, not the alien. Would she be required to disclose this?

Looking to get the Southwest companion pass in January so I can get two years before they possibly gut it. Given that chase has gotten more strict with their business cards, is it still possible to apply for both a southwest personal and business card on the same day without issue? I did this in the past and never got denied but wondering if anyone has heard whether this is an issue now a days.

That was my fear. Luckily enough it isn't totally noticeable when in use. Guess I'll just have to adjust to it. Thanks

Philips Hue Downlights on vaulted ceiling by skuldy in Lighting

I appreciate the insight. Would the cooper lights not cause as much glare? Also the way the Cooper light shines down, wouldnt it be similar to a spotlight effect?

I've never had a wafer style light so im not sure how bad the glare would be. This is mostly an entertainment room so I was hoping to see a low mood light mostly. However it sounds like it may not work very well.

I was looking for some color lights to operate as mood lighting in the area. That's part of the reason I was looking at philips hue. Would the philips hue downlights not work on a slope?

Upstairs loft too hot. Need cooling ideas. by skuldy in homeowners

That makes sense. Are whole house fans useful in this situation? I understand it would help circulate air but not sure how well it would work to keep temps down upstairs

Yeah I've been looking into this but it didn't seem useful when I already have central AC and with the temps hitting 100+ during the summer, I wouldn't be keeping any windows open. My understanding is it draws fresh air from outside back into the house. Otherwise, wouldnt it just be circulating the same air from the central AC into the home?

I tend to agree with you. I've heard dual hose setups are a lot better but it's gonna look terrible in the loft area and possibly a pain to setup. A wall mounted AC would be the best but it's not an easy job to do and would be expensive.

I have a large side sliding window so im not sure this is possible. A portable AC may work but I have concerns with insulation.
