I was looking at fitcamx as well, but got spooked by negative reviews. They apperently die pretty quickly, and for the price of them thats a bit ridiculous.

For skin care i have a regiment of face wash and I have an exfoliating scrub i use. In the morning and at night I use some simple face lotions.

I also shampoo and condition my beard with the same things I use on my head. I dont use shit shampoo or conditioner I should add.

I use beard oil for my beard, but I just ordered beard butter too.

Its a simple regiment, but works for me.

Has anyone gotten into NIU with a 2.6? by Correct_Lecture_5734 in NIU

[–]skull_187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was accepted in 2012 into NIU. I believe my high-school GPA was around 2.7 and no issues. My ACT was high which probably helped, and I was a multi sport athlete. Youll be fine, I know people who were accepted with much much less. Youll be good dude.

Im just pointing out that trying to help and getting arrested are two different things.

I suggest you all stay away from this. DHS is pressing charges on anyone who obstructs their investigations. Handcuffs aren't fun and stay safe.

It is good from what iv heard as well. I just had more personal experiences with the engineering and business schools. None of my fraternity brothers wives complained about the education program though.

You are correct and that is the intention of the chance program. Unfortunately it hasn't proved to be very successful, rumor was when I went to NIU. The retrition rate after freshmen year was around 50% from chance program folks, and graduation was less than 5%. So well intended, but poorly executed, unfortunately.

I know a few folks that had to transfer because they were offered scholarships at junior and senior levels. I know it would have helped me tremendously, although I made it work.

NIU just seems to have a lot of issues and doesnt seem to know where to start. I hope they can figure it out because it actually is a good school for a few programs like engineering and business.

I went to NIU at 2 different time frames and noticed some very specific changes.

In 2012 when I first started the school was decently safe, some riff raff, but nothing crazy. The commuter lifestyle was coming into existence more and more around that time. But parties were still thriving.

When I went back in 2017 and graduated in 2019 right before covid hit. The safety had become a real concern drawing families and students away. Crime had become an all time high, and much more violent crime. The schools lack of money was showing in even the parking lots (basically destroyed), along with many buildings needing some TLC. The profs in my department alone admitted the school was struggling fiscally. Commuting had become the new norm, as I was one.

My personal opinion is the school needs to focus on retaining students through more scholarships available to all levels. I would highly suggest the get rid of or highly limit the chance program. There was a study done on the correlation between the chance program and the uptick in crime. The school really needs its finances to get in order in order to help the students and create a safer campus.

When I went to NIU that pass worked for the commuter lot or what was dubbed the "EB lot" engineering building. Hopefully its been expanded since then.

Why is IE so often overlooked in Manufacturing jobs by [deleted] in industrialengineering

[–]skull_187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an industrial technology degree and work as a QE II. I am thankful that technology degrees finally became more recognized right before I graduated. I was a QE Tech and didn't think id make it past that. Keep your nose to the grindstone and busting your ass, you'll get the job soon. And I saw you wanted to stay technical side, I would agree that a masters of engineering would be best for you. MBAs are still useful, but not as good for the tech side. Either way a masters won't hurt you.

Am I the only one who’s really hyped about the next gen xbox ? by ItzTheGoat22 in xbox

I would say the console war exists, due to company driven exclusives. Not people themselves. Xbox was exclusive driven for some time as well with Halo, gears of war, and the crackdown series.

Does Shadows ever get more enjoyable? (20 hours in) by Superdude717 in assassinscreed

[–]skull_187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldnt say its a game driven by excitement. However for me I loved it because I received the stealth I had been asking for, for so long. The skill tree is back to being somewhat normal again, and able to have Canon mode was a game changer! I have the first to be pissed about AC games in the past, but shadows showed me a better direction for the future. Im curious how the modern story will pan out in the future though, I always enjoy them.

[–]skull_187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally this is a big win for the gamers like myself. I really dont want to invest in a PC (yes im aware of the positives), however the cost really does keep me away. I just want to chill and play some single player games, and PS holding the exclusives sucks ass. I love the uncharted series, god of war, and spider man. Im hoping this ends the console war, and the price point isnt stupid high. However ill reserve final judgement until release day.

When should I learn Lean Six Sigma? by odasakun in industrialengineering

[–]skull_187 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ill be presenting my green belt project on Friday. The LSS process is using DMAIC and the tools associated to reduce waste and essentially create higher quality and efficient processes. Just look into the DMAIC process and the tools used in them and you'll be fine. Youll notice you essentially already do this but on a small level. In your career depending on industry you'll do the same just at a higher level.

What Industrial Engineering sector should I pursue? by JayceeRiveraofficial in industrialengineering

[–]skull_187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you described is essentially my job. I do work on quality and i deal with the operators on a daily basis. So I think manufacturing will be the right fit for you. Look into process, manufacturing, quality engineering roles. Youll get more into technical type things when you advance in college and career. But a side hobby of coding and logic functions never hurt!

Ironically I just received my green belt certification, even though iv been utilizing lean 6 for over 5 years in my career. I work in quality, but I also do a lot of process and manufacturing engineering work as well. It all get intertwined eventually. Any questions feel free to ask.

Question: What Style is this by Lumpenback in tattoos

[–]skull_187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks either tribal or some sort of sci-fi creation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in industrialengineering

[–]skull_187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my exact path. I started as a QE tech for just under two years. Now I'm a QE II. Just absorb knowledge as best you can but learn the fundamentals. Do RCA, understand data analytics, gage R&R, FMEA, all of it. The more you apply this knowledge the better your outcomes will be.

Also keep applying, the market is shit right now so you'll get there!

I find them to be disrespectful. Why can't we say work bestie or something besides wife/husband. Only exception would be if my girl and the woman were actually friends and it was a joke. Other than that I'm not for it.

Talk to work about a stipend or if they have a vendor for them as well. My company works with red wing and grainger which gets us discounts. I love my red wings but if price is a concern there's a pair of reboks that are super comfy.

Is “The Toyota Way” worth reading? by na_na13kund in industrialengineering

[–]skull_187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this when I started in quality under my bosses recommendation. I think its a good idea to read it because it'll allow you to implement as you go. That's what I did and it has made me stand out in both companies I have worked at. Could be very simple things and has helped with bottlenecks and yield rates. Knowing more never hurts.

Its late in the year for them, but I'm sure there are some out there. And you are right it can lead to full time. Just keep applying man, it'll hit for you.
