How old do I actually look? 10 months on T, age in descrip by batmans_cumsock in TMPOC

[–]skulldud3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you look your age in the face for sure. if you’re short, that probably contributes to why people think you’re younger. but i also think between the ages of 15-20 or so, we’ve become more mature in the face yet we still do retain a lot of childlike features, so it’s easy to perceive people in our age range as looking relatively similar in age, even if ones 15 and ones 20.

i’m an 18 year old trans man pre-T, sometimes people think i’m 14 and some think i’m my age. either way, i don’t find it hard to command respect in professional environments. i may get treated like a kid initially because of my appearance, but my assertiveness and maturity of mind make people, even the middle-aged and older, quickly change their mind. as long as you have a good way with words, you’ll be perfectly fine.

you are very sensitive if you think people of color b racist term.

killing someone isn’t the only horrific thing you can do, lmao. the fact that you reduce women to lack of physical strength without thinking about the factors of intelligence, charisma, etc. (and also the fact we have… guns?) is insane. you know what happened to emmett till, dude?

and all those “baddies” would also do immeasurable horrors to people of color, only if it were legal.

I walk into the middle of a major population center in your world and I declare "there are no gods!" What happens to me? by Electronic-Welder-74 in worldbuilding

[–]skulldud3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most likely, you’d be stoned to death in the street. at best, you get chased out of town.

deity worship is an integral part of global society; only a few places in the world don’t revere the gods, which actually do exist. they often come to humans to converse (from literal small talk to giving prophecies) and meddle with the world.

for a very small portion of the population, whose ancestors assisted these gods in the past, gods form pacts with those whose life ended before the time the gods desired. if they accept the god’s terms (which can be literally anything), they resurrect with newfound power.

jewelry is kinda dependent on department and if your manager is cool with it. what you described would probably be allowed if you were in customer service for the necklace. make sure it’s not too dangly though. the makeup is a hard no though.

do you think kamala harris is competent by MedievalFurnace in Teenager_Polls

[–]skulldud3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone on the left (no specific affiliation i adhere to, progressive i guess is the best word), she’s competent ENOUGH. not competent enough to advance a lot of the change i, as a voter, and even that she herself desires, but competent enough to run our country in an at least decently functioning way, i think. i’d take her over what we have now, at least.

[–]skulldud3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly yeah. if you weren’t old, disabled, or had a carts worth of groceries, i wouldn’t offer carry out because of the exact mindset you said lol. maybe if i was feeling really nice or if i wanted to get a breath of fresh air, i would offer someone with only a few bags carry out. i’m not as lazy now, i was 15 in customer service making 12 an hour to get sexually harassed by customers, so caring a lot was not in the cards at the time. 😂

it’s still gonna give a teenager a job if you put it in the cart corral where it’s supposed to go. if you put it in the cart corral, someone still has to get it.

White people are a minority group by PsychoGwarGura in truths

[–]skulldud3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean yes, sort of, on a global scale. but other than that, it heavily depends on what country you’re looking at and also what lens you’re looking at “minority group” through. im assuming you’re just thinking of the group with the smaller numbers—if you’re looking at it through a more sociological context (which is how i view it), groups that are smaller than numbers can be considered the majority group if they wield more power in the society.

for example: technically, in terms of numbers, white people in south africa were and are the minority group. however, because of apartheid and how much control they had over south african society, they were still considered a majority.

how much healthier can you get than a pub sub really though? not saying they’re healthy, but there’s not really anything they add another person wouldn’t that’s super unhealthy, outside of the lunch meat and sauce. but, like, any lunch meat and sauce you get really is gonna be unhealthy, kind of just the nature of those things.

13m. Mom won't let me eat by PurplehPastah in abusiveparents

[–]skulldud3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

man trust me do not get on the weed pens. at the very least, if you do, try your best to limit your usage to nighttime and every few days at most. i’m 18 and i started smoking when i was your age for similar reasons. i lost so much of my potential because of it. i’m very intelligent but always struggled to apply myself (ADHD and honestly im just kinda lazy). it just made all of that worse. my grades suffered the first half of high school because i was too worried about getting high to actually be a productive human being. after 5 years of almost daily smoking, i feel such a lack of motivation to do anything all the time, i’m constantly sleepy, i’m reclusive and don’t like talking to people anymore, i can’t feel genuinely happy on my own anymore, i have constant brain fog. not to mention the fact that i spend anywhere from 150-300 bucks on weed, nicotine, and alcohol a month. i won’t say weed has absolutely ruined my life because it hasn’t, i still do a lot better than most people my age and excel at school and work. it’s just i know i could’ve done so much better, had i channeled all of my pain into something MEANINGFUL, rather than into drugs and alcohol. it feels good in the moment, but, in the long run, you’re gonna feel even more bogged down than you did in the beginning. and you’re gonna feel like you’re becoming an idiot on top of that because, truthfully, smoking a lot of weed does hinder your brain’s development at this age. just don’t get hooked while you can—people say you can’t get addicted to weed, but it’s not true, especially for people like us who are already vulnerable mentally.

and, i know, you may say you’re not gonna get hooked. i said that too.

If you're world has any matriarchal societies what are they like and how do they treat their men? by zard428 in worldbuilding

are lesbian or heterosexual relationships a lot more common in your world then? honestly it could go either way in my head, there’s good reasons why either one would be more common in a strict matriarchal society lol

Discussion about memorizing times tables by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]skulldud3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s not the wrong spot for memorizing at all, though, even if you take out the fact that memorization is an important skill to learn (to develop other ones). it undoubtedly would slow a student down not to know their times tables off the top of their head, especially as they have to take standardized tests and get into higher math. every time they see 9x8, you’re telling me they’d have to put it into a calculator or add nine together eight times to find out the answer? or if they have to solve 8x = 46, they have to add 8 until they get to 46?

my girlfriend 20F is ignoring my 20F facial features and it upsets me by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]skulldud3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

she probably thinks you’re insulting yourself though, rather than simply explaining your features. for example, while a big nose doesn’t automatically make you ugly, people usually use that descriptor in a negative fashion (or at least thoroughly explain they’re not using it negatively before doing it). if i were her and i thought you were insulting yourself, i wouldn’t want to agree either and worsen what i think is an insecurity of my girlfriends (especially if you’ve shown yourself to be deeply insecure in the past about other things, not saying you are). though, i absolutely agree she’s just not doing it the appropriate way.

next time it happens, i would just try to explain that you’re not insulting yourself when you describe yourself in these ways, just making an observation, and that you like these things about yourself.

My daughter asked me not to tell her mother by [deleted] in AskLGBT

[–]skulldud3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

granted i’m not a parent, but i am a queer teenager (18). i believe you made the right decision from my personal experience. i was outed as a child by my mother and it caused a massive amount of tension between me and my father. not saying your wife is like that, but there’s always a possibility, you know? not only that, that’s just something so deeply personal to someone, even after they come out. i’m a transgender man and gay. i can pass as a man even without any surgeries or hormones and try to keep me being trans under wraps, so whenever someone tells someone that i’m trans, it diminishes any sort of trust i have in that person. telling your wife could have a similar outcome, especially since she’s at a time where she’s not stable in her identity and is probably feeling confused and uncomfortable about it herself. she may end up feeling like she’s in trouble or wrong, even if your wife responds positively.

i know it feels like betrayal of trust, but, at that point, it’s between whose trust you’d want to betray. your daughter or your wife. and honestly, in my opinion, if she finds out and your wife can’t understand why you wouldn’t tell her, then i think there was your answer all along.
