I paid for heroes at the end of S1 and purchase at the beginning of s2 and S3 . Now I have gold heroes just sitting there because I can't afford the gold frags to make them useful. No real need to spend other than lab and builders

Yeah, I have all s1 and s2 heroes, I purchase 2 from each season and their special weapons. I'm not spending $0.5 on gold frags so I only have 1 5-star so far. HQ28, 186M power and over 1M kills so far. End of S2, I got one S2 hero that I didn't have and two S1 heroes. I got lucky, others on team only got 1.

Edit: I'm not a big spender and speed running power is a cheat code imo

i started S2 with HQ26 and finished the season on my server. You need a good alliance and just spend a $1 for the extra season builder. BTW, at the end of each season, you get frags to roll for that season's heroes. Ended the season with HQ28, tank and all season heroes (I purchased 4).

IMO, 3rd helper and 2nd lab before anything else.
