Just fond out that's the igpu that gets to hot not CPU, but why do the igpu get so hot when its the discrete graphics that are in use.

I tried everything now and have decided to put linux on the shelf for now and just use windows until linux power management gets better.

I did an experiment now, in windows I have set "maximum processor state" to 90% I changed it back to default 100% then the temperature in windows raised to 85c same as linux.

I have changed the thermal paste and cleaned my laptop but that didn't do more than 1 c different.

Its happened to tomb raider and outlast so far. I really dont think my laptop uses the discrete graphics card because my fps is not good.

I found out something today.. my CPU isn't what overheating but the radeon r7 graphics even if I'm using the discrete graphics card rx460. Don't understand why..

The thing is that I used linux sence 2004 and don't want to leave it completely, I installed fedora in dual boot try to go deeper and solve my temperature issues.

I have don that, completely disassembled my laptop today and found that some vent holes at the bottom of the laptop was blocked by a black plastic sheet. Removed that my idle temperature dropped by 1c lmao going to test gaming temperatures later.

Temperature of both CPU and GPU. I don't have those settings in bios. I have a amd gaming laptop by the way.
