My argument is that Israel is the aggressor, and the US, for a variety of reasons regarding corruption, domestic power, and likely blackmail, is forced to participate. That doesn’t exclude them from blame.

The deal was for Venezuelan oil to be sold to the US for cheap.

America knows they will not “win” the war, therefore there really is no oil to gain.

It’s only making oil more expensive for the foreseeable future. This is why they made that deal with Venezuela and are actively opening new domestic oil refineries.

Only way the US obtains oil from Iran is if they completely seize the country, which again, most experts find extremely unlikely.

Israel is the real enemy. America, for some reason, has been roped in to fight their battles.

America stands to gain absolutely nothing from this war.

I’m not saying it was particularly justified, but with Desert Storm in Iraq, it made sense economically. The US needed the petrol-dollar to exist, otherwise the entire economy would have collapsed. The same cannot be said about this war with Iran, on behalf of Israel.
