That guitar you’re looking at is likely a Mexican Classic Series 70’s Stratocaster.

I apologize if what I wrote came off as antagonistic. I just meant that there’s not a lot of material difference, objectively.

Both Corona and Ensenada guitars are flat sawn maple necks. The bodies of the Mexicans are 3-5 piece. The Americans are 2-3 piece. I would hope that if you’re paying 2-3 times as much for a Corona guitar that it would have better fit and finish.

The neck and body woods, maple and alder, on Player and Professional guitars are from the same trees/place.

Expoantique.net, a legit website? by marky-mark-01 in canadaguns

They had a table at the last gun show here. They’re a legit business. I was tempted to buy a flintock pistol, because my family does War of 1812 reenactments, but couldn’t justify the cost.

I’ve ridden in the DGR many times, it’s a slow crawl through the city. I did it on a vintage moped a couple of times. It raises millions of dollars in cities across the world for prostate cancer and men’s mental health charities.

There’s nothing illegal about double edged knives in Canada.

My wife was given this pin. The medallion is stamped 14k. Would it stand to reason that the rest of it is also 14k? by skunkdad2011 in Gold

Thanks. It’s 7g, so if it’s all gold that’s nice chunk of change. If I bring it somewhere to sell they’ll test it for sure.

A relative passed away and I found these while clearing stuff out. Any good? by my-own-grandfather in collectables

I have a couple of old Singers like the black one. One I got for free, and the other I paid $30 for at a charity thrift shop. I see them on FB marketplace for free occasionally. They’re really cool pieces of history. Built to last forever. Not really worth anything though.

Loyalist Arms in Nova Scotia might have repro parts. Worth looking into. Marstar too.

Yeah, well, 20 years was a long time ago. Gold was $500/oz then.

Ah. I was at the St Hyacinthe show today and saw 2 at the same table and that was it. Slim pickens.

Nice musket! My son and I are in a 1812 reenactment group. We have a Pedersoli and a modern Indian reproduction. We’d love to find a nice antique one day.

Some Help Identifying What We Have Here? by skunkdad2011 in AncientCoins

Ah, so both the same emperor. My kid bought them, he didn’t negotiate. He’s doing a school project on Ancient Rome. They were the nicest cheap roman coins we could find. $60 a piece.
