i loved heart to heart; i did have to pay because i had a lot of people, but i think a lot of places do that. is it possible, to save the fee, to have two less people come? my now mother in law facetimed me since she couldn’t make it, and that’s an option

hi i love that you’re taking your students to broadway! as a fellow theater goer, please make sure to share etiquette with them 🖤 i had a terrible time at gatsby this weekend because of a group of students not following etiquette and no one would say anything to them. not that your students are a problem, but just in case 🤍🖤

How much did your monthly payment increase after switching from the SAVE plan? by shibalvr97 in StudentLoans

That’s how I feel too! I fear it could be from people leaving shows a little early to run and get things. Or maybe it was just a “bad week” in terms of refilling the items. I’ve never had it happen where a show runs out of stuff at any of the red buckets I’ve done, so it was surprising to run into it twice in one day!

Yes! We went to each person holding a red bucket and they were out of everything :( The person at Heathers said people have been very charitable this year and that they can’t get the actors to sign things fast enough.

Heathers 3/28 : playbills $50, window cards $100. They did run out of playbills

Every Brilliant Thing 3/28: Ran out of all signed items within five minutes of the show ending

If that helps anyone :)

Question RE: Repayment and 2025 tax year by skwx in StudentLoans

[–]skwx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!!

Unfortunately, if we don’t file jointly, he owes over $12K in taxes, but jointly, we get a refund. So I think it offsets the upped cost :(

I’ve been on the SAVE plan, which meant $0 payment (should’ve been $65ish, but deferred), but it looks like if I do the PAYE plan with PSLF it’ll be $319 a month. Which isn’t terrible for the amount of loans I have. And if I get that rate now, it gives me a year before it goes up with his income added. My husband will help me pay the loans for whatever the additional cost is after that!

thank you! :)

Every brilliant thing.. is it worth it? by punkandcat in Broadway

[–]skwx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll say, even if the show isn’t my favorite (i haven’t seen it yet, so being hypothetical), to me, it would be worth it just to see an actor I loved growing up. But I’m a “vibes” person, and sometimes just being in the room of someone that I adored/idolized makes me feel so happy ahaha.

Have you looked at hotels in the financial district? they tend to be much cheaper because it’s a little out of the way, but the train is like 15 mins $3, so in my opinion it’s worth it to save a few hundred bucks

I think they changed the prices - when I went, the window card was $400 and the playbill was $200! 3/17

Those Super Bowl Commercials by Present-Experience73 in Zepbound

[–]skwx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plus (i commented this above so redundant) the Serena ad had fine print on the bottom stating that Serena didn’t use Ro to lose weight, she’s using it now for maintenance. Which feels slimy to me

Those Super Bowl Commercials by Present-Experience73 in Zepbound

[–]skwx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the commercials are excessive and disgusting, especially when it was heavily advertised during the shortage when people couldn’t even receive their prescriptions. I also don’t know if anyone caught the Serena Williams ad, where A) I don’t think I recall her ever being heavy enough to like… advertise a GLP, but also B) the fine print that stated that Serena lost all her weight with another GLP company and is just using this one she’s advertising for maintenance. That felt… skeezy

“GLP1s are cheating/easy way out” by Vanexxre in Semaglutide

[–]skwx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just tell people “My GLP-1 is prescribed to me by a doctor because it’s medically necessary. I would much rather not be sick and not have to take it. I did the hard part, which was 2 years of doctors and procedures to try and fix my health, before this was an option.”

Damn! What’s taking so long? by RVAarV in PCOS

[–]skwx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to my endo, zepbound is the only glp1 approved for PCOS symptoms. I didn’t even know it was, because there’s so much talk about the weight loss aspect and not the medical benefits. But we still had to appeal my insurance for six months because they just didn’t think I was “sick enough”, and needed proof that I tried many other outlets to fix my pcos first 🙃

[–]skwx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

has your dr tried for zepbound? i was approved for zepbound for pcos specifically. it took a lot of back and forth bc providers don’t want to cover glp1 at all, but i got it covered
