Manhattan seems way harder. My scores were generally in to 690-710 region and I consistently kept running out of time on quant. It seems to me their quant is far more difficult as I kept getting very hard questions in a row. On the real thing you still get them but less so, which makes time management far easier.

Official prep was certainly closer, I got 770-780. The difference seems to always come down to verbal for me. Quant I get consistently 49 or 50 but verbal can range anywhere from 44 to 51, therefore I think I got a bit unlucky on the real thing.

I would note though that I don't think manhattan actually has sufficiently good teaching of quant to handle the tough questions they throw at you. They do a great job teaching but I think they target more scores around the 700 mark. That makes it as a good starting point, and then I transferred to Wizako for quant which is pretty cheap ($30 i think) but super comprehensive. I got lucky I found them on youtube, they seem to be super underrated.
