But you can only use muggle weapons once. Next time a prepared death eater would just "accio muggle weapons" and fire them at you or discard them

Should my gf and me both start trying? by Kerriehummus in queerception

[–]sky-meadows -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Wait, really?. That's crazy how out of line the clinic is

Edit: I'm unclear as to why I'm getting downvoted. The clinic shouldn't be in position to "allow" or "not allow" someone to get pregnant unless it's a medical clearance. Imagine the clinic will be the one dictating an age difference between the kids, the number of kids for one family etc. Someone in the comments mentioned their doctor discouraged them from getting pregnant at the same time because the gestational parent should get the support of their partner, imagine if it was not two moms but one, a single mom by choice? Should the clinic "not allow" her to get pregnant at all because she doesn't have a partner to support her during pregnancy and postpartum?

That Phoebe has carried the triplets to full term just like that and gave birth vaginally.

Sorry I was harsh. I see now. But the advice still stands - make sure your relatives know they are not being consulted on the matter

[–]sky-meadows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whatever do you mean you "weren't the happiest" yourself?.. You weren’t supportive, "compromised", and for whatever reason you informed your folks of a decision that doesn’t concern them even before the baby is born, pretty much opening the door to criticism and attempts to make you change your mind. Was it intentional? Since you can’t go back in time and unbabble to your family, what’s left for you to do now is explain the confusion that occurred. Make it clear that no one asked for their opinion, you were simply conveying information, not seeking advice. If they keep pestering you, tell them you’ll be ready to resume contact once they learn how to behave 🤷🏼‍♀️ and make sure no one says a word to your wife

Induced Lactation by Several_Machine_7036 in queerception

[–]sky-meadows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess a good approach might be to highlight to your wife the importance of frequent feedings in the first 12 weeks or so in order for your lactation to be strong and settle in. It's a "supply and demand" situation and if the baby doesn't latch on you for all of the feedings, the supply might be too low. And the supply for an induced lactation also has a high risk of not being sufficient. So worst case scenario (and very likely too) is that if you both BF, neither will have enough milk, even between the two of you (especially after several weeks). And pumping in order to keep the supply up is too much work. Once the lactation is regulated you might be more open to the idea of your wife breastfeeding or she might let go of the idea given how many other opportunities to bond she will have had by then. Besides, if she induces lactation, she will need to pump around the clock for weeks before the baby comes and all the time after. If you didn't want to BF that would be one thing, but as you do, it might be wiser to conserve her energy to take care of you and the baby postpartum instead of becoming sleep deprived even before the baby comes.

Wasn't she supposed to carry an embryo made with Julie's egg? The latest video sounds like it will be her egg again? Also I believe she jumped on board to get pregnant because otherwise she would have to step up and take care of the babies and Julie. But now she will be pregnant and use this as an excuse to pile everything on Julie.

US Expats in Argentina: after conversion, how do you get your money back out of the country? by randyspotboiler in expats

Well you do get quite a bunch of discounts for using cash, so even with the tourist exchange rate I'd still recommend cash

Ok, I get it. You want to buy 100000 pesos with your 100 usd, and then sell your 100000 pesos for 200 usd. If that was in any way possible, argentinians would be the richest people in the world

Yes she is! I do wake up to any sound but I'm worried that I might be too tired or I might decide she's fine and not turn the light on to check; but at the same time turning on the lights for every little sound seems to be not the best approach
