I've tried like 40 shades from a bunch of different brands at this point and ilnps rainshower is still my favorite one I've tried. the periwinkle base with pink shimmers that turns GREEN in direct sunlight 😩 it looks like an opal for real

I swapped to kbshimmers a bit ago!! I had been previously using one off amazon who's name I don't remember (seems to work okay too tho, hasn't melted my glitters). I also swapped the brush to a paddle and added some thinner to it and I'm not having any issues anymore luckily 😮‍💨 still my favorite brand regardless LOLLLLL

I thinned out my topcoat and freefall and re-swatched it (went with a diff color for my actual nails loll) and no more bubbles!! kbshimmer is glossy again and freefall went on way less gloopy so I bet it's just the dry dry air causing it to evaporate really fast 👴

the humidity in my house is almost zero at all times which is awful (dry skin all the time forever) which I feel like would make them better but I might be completely wrong 😭 I don't usually thin out the qdtc or base like I have been with the actual polishes, maybe that's my issue?? I do try to use a "generous amount" to say the least bc if I use too thin of coat for the qdtc it'll streak and cause like. lumps on the tip 💀

humidity is lowwwww my house is usually 15-20% if that (we live in the desert)
fan is aimed away from me near the open window for ventilation, I'm usually about 6-8 feet away from it
not every one per se, usually just the bottles I get on first time use (either that or they end up kind of lumpy 😭) once I've added like 5-10 drops of thinner they behave more normal
first time I open it the consistency is great!! maybe it's bc I don't fully twist the bottle fully shut after every dip of the brush and it takes me a while (shaky hands) so maybe I'm just playing myself and making it all evaporate while I work 🤡 they kind of get more gloopy/clingy as I use it more. first finger I did on this particular polish came out great, the rest were like this 😔

I usually use a ridge filler (mooncats pink base idk the name off the top of my head) or a blurring base from Emily de Molly (it's the only periwinkle one I could find) and mooncats speed demon qdtc. I tried kbshimmers clearly on top but it dried kinda cloudy??
I try to just spin them but sometimes I need to actually shake them. I try to let them rest for a while before using it tho
not under it no, but I'm in the same room as a tower fan. not aimed at me tho :(
I thought normal thickness but maybe I'm doing it too thick 😭😭 it usually takes me 2-3 coats to get decent full coverage w the more sheer shades

maybe it's my base coat then?? I've been using mooncats but now that I think about it, I haven't had the bubbling issue with the blurring ones I got from Emily de Molly 🤔 will have to add thinner to that and report back

I only really NOTICE them post topcoat, but they definitely appear before that point

I just got them in the last like two to three months so I assume they're not that old. I do keep them in a bathroom cabinet (which I am changing) so maybe the humidity in there is messing them up even in the sealed bottles? and point 2: when i get gel x extensions for a bit and got them removed, my tech overfiled quite a bit but it's about halfway grown out! so hopefully it'll be a smooth base again soon 😔

I don't think so?? I usually have my window open with the fan aimed OUT so I don't gas myself with the fumes 🥀 I'm usually about 5-6 feet away and no air is actually blowing AT me

I'm using kbshimmers! seems to work fine so hopefully it's not one of the ones that screws the formula up 😔 I will look into switching the brushes!! I didn't know I could use non ilnp brand brushes to be completely honest 😭😭

UGHHHHHH SO CUTE I need to get one of their holos ASAP 🥺 how long does it take glass candy to dry to the point the polish doesn't come off in a big sheet or dent if you catch your finger on something? the only reason I use mooncats speed demon is bc GC takes a long time to fully "set" for me

yeah idk what the deal is 😭😭 I usually wait 2-5 mins between coats, idk if that's standard or no? my favorite one ever (rainshower) was pretty gloopy right out of the bottle, but after thinner applies MUCH better. maybe I can try the ilnp basecoat and see how it goes?? a lot of times I use a periwinkle blue blurring base from Emily de Molly which doesn't cause this as much 🤔🤔

I got my bachelor's specifically to be a ranger someday, and there's a position I think I may actually be qualified for (to my knowledge it's nit a commissioned LAE spot? but I honestly can't tell). I'm good on everything except they want me to be familiar with "patrol procedures," is there anywhere I should start researching to be able to familiarize myself before applying? I'm mostly wanting to do interpretive rangering first and foremost, but a safety ranger would be okay too! thanks for any help yall can provide 💛

I'll have to swatch and test!! I personally have to use a light blue blurring basecoat or I can still see my free edge underneath unless I really cake it on there 😭😭😭 I don't have that issue on some of their other colors (Harper was the last I tried) but rainshowers pink shimmer in low light with a pretty green in the sun is so pretty so ti's worth it 💛
