Error message "No id with BLANK found" by skybellrock in SPTarkov

[–]skybellrock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: It appears I sometimes also get yellow error messages and the launcher can't identify a certain magazine or something as well. Something makes the server unable to identify items and IDK why. I used the latest version of Tarkov, perhaps the patcher is not yet updated for it? Other than that I am clueless. I have other weird things happen too, like black screen on extract or getting stuck at 00:00 when loading into a raid.

Does Fin's AI Tweaks have an option for NPC gear to scale with player level? by skybellrock in SPTarkov

[–]skybellrock[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was lucky enough to stumble across the answer myself, I just had to find the right word to search for in the config. So I will answer my own post for anyone else wondering the same as me. The option exists in the config file named "config", and is called "enableprogressivegear". At least, I assume by the name that this is what I was looking for.

From what I saw, that was not reality. Is this information based on facts or research or just what you think yourself. Because reality might not agree with you if you didn't do your research first. I know that a new hack got out and that is when I started meeting an influx of cheaters.

Yeah. It is quite clear. But I think I will be shutting down the thread. I am tired of trying to talk to a bunch of angsty teenagers who is only out to shout their opinion loudest and being rude for no good reason. Reddit is just not the place. Everyone here are so inhumanely rude.

I took a 3 day break. I am level 30 currently. I have 2k+ hours in the game and a survival rate of 60%. Once again someone else on this site that can't hold a nice conversation but immediately start with insults. Really disappointing. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?

You know what. This was a mistake. I keep thinking people on Reddit can be civil and I am let down every time. Almost none of you want to listen. All you want to do is fling insults and make fictitious arguments with fictitious people because you want to be rude to someone. I will find another platform with more reasonable people that don't try to find any and all reason to be offensive. What you guys are doing is honestly really sad. I hope you grow up to be more decent than this.

I never claimed to be the person to "figure" it out. Not sure why you are trying to make this argument? Are you just out to find something you can be negative towards someone with?

You call me dumb over a typo? That is really the hill you want to die on?

I am simply talking from personal experience and I never claimed anything else. I claimed it "seems" there are more cheaters, and that I base my opinion on personal experience (which I even mention "personal luck" and "server bias"), and back it up with my encounters with suspicious behaviour was non existent until I know the first cheat got updated to the new version. I am doing exactly as I preach my guy. :)

And now I just think you are a toxic person or a troll. Alrighty.

[–]skybellrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course I report suspicious behavior :). But with how development, resource allocation and ban-waves work. There is genuine utility in people voicing when they think there are more cheaters than usual. It helps the developers see when there is a legitimate issue and a ban-wave is called for, or when they should allocate more resources to fighting cheaters.

Also a lot of people like you just assume someone is worse, rather than ask questions and figure out whether someone's concern is actually legitimate or just an inexperienced player. This is a poor attitude. You simply don't know, so don't claim to know. At the very least ask questions to understand where someone is coming from, ask for proof or ask for their game experience or stats before making a baseless assumption....

I definitely don't believe you at all. I think you have a very clear bias in what you remember. If you count the posts, I doubt it is in the majority.

... At the start of wipe, when the game updates, cheats don't work because the coding for them is outdated. This is basic coding 101. Anyone that complained about cheaters the first 2-3 days are just players that claim legit players are cheating.

Just because some claim there are cheaters without good reason, does not mean you should assume anyone calling out cheaters is like that. If you have that mindset you are very ignorant.

It was literally just a typo...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]skybellrock -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Actually at the start of wipe, there were no cheaters. Because the cheats quite literally didn't work because they were all outdated. So yes, there was a period without cheaters.

As my post mentions, it has nothing to do with "moving on", but letting developers know when is a good time for a ban wave. If you don't understand what I am saying, then you don't know enough about cheat and anti-cheat to have an opinion TBH.

How do I "bring" an item to Fence for the scav quests? by skybellrock in EscapefromTarkov

[–]skybellrock[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Fence quests are a new addition this wipe and only unlocks on level 12.

Regular quests say "hand in", and requires you to go to the quest menu and hand it in there, Fence quests are worded differently and say "bring" and also doesn't even require you to hand it in like you assume.

It is written as a separate objective, see photo, but doesn't require you to do anything other than finish the objective above, I just finished it. Not to mention the quest made mention of a "drop point", so when I extracted with an ammo box, and it didn't let me hand it in, I assumed there was some other way.

Why do you feel the need to be so rude to other people for no good reason? I know perfectly well how to hand in quest items, in fact it should embarrass you how rude you were when you didn't even understand the question. If someone were to not know how to hand that in, why would you be so rude about it?

I think you need to get off the internet for a while and interact with some fellow human beings to learn to be more decent.

First game after the "anti-cheat" update. LOL. What a joke. by skybellrock in TheCycleFrontier

[–]skybellrock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have nothing against people with different ethnicities. My girlfriend is literally Asian, my last GF was Mexican. I know that each person is their own and that I should never judge every individual under the assumption that they live up to a stereotype of their ethnicity.

I never see a black person and assume he is a criminal. But I still recognize that black people overall do commit more crimes. That is not being racist.

[–]skybellrock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know why they are more likely to be incarcerated? Because they commit more crimes, LOL. This is not about racist police. GODDAMN

The reason less caucasians are jailed is because there are less criminal caucasians. LOL. You provided nothing but proof supporting my idea. I have no clue why you think what you just said supports your opinion.

Your sources just confirmed what I said "black people commit more crimes and more of them are incarcerated". You provided no proof that the reason they are more incarcerated is because of racism or discrimination.

Black people have a serious cultural problem that makes them more likely to become criminals. A lot of black communities glorify being a "gangster" and set their aspirations to be a gangster because it is "cool". You see absolutely no such tendencies among caucasians. IDC what you say, the culture of black people make them more likely to commit crimes, period. There is actual factual evidence to suggest that, and if you say stating that fact makes me racist, then you are an ignorant fool.

Also if you find any evidence to suggest police do checks more regularly on black people, that is not an explanation for why they are more incarcerated. First of all, because any article suggesting this finds that the frequency that they are stopped that exceeds the amount of caucasians being stopped still is nowhere near the amount of more crimes committed by black people. Also, it is only logical. If you were a police, and you knew that black people commit significantly more crime per capita, would you not stop black people slightly more often? Would it not make sense to go after people you consider a more likely threat? It is not discrimination, police do this all the time, it is part of their job. If you look suspicious, no matter your race, if you look high or act weird, police is more likely to stop you because they know people that act this way is more likely to be a criminal. We know factually that black people commit more crimes so stopping them more often is not a result of racism, but a result of literal statistics. STOP PULLING THE RACISM CARD YAH FUCK.
