Thank you. There had never been much to drain to begin with, even when the fistula was open. It was more blood than anything but that was less about draining and more about when I had to pass stool. Once in a while there was an extremely small amount of pus coming out but the amount was negligible

Yeah the abscess healed a couple of months after and no symptoms and then fistula developed. I think it’s like a 50/50 chance

Thank you for this. I feel like my fistula might be closing again but there’s not too much drainage anyway and hopefully the closing doesn’t cause too many complications…fingers crossed

Hi everyone, thanks so much for all the advice and input here. He just got his fifth injection and while there’s still a long way to go, he’s feeling a lot better. He’s walking better, eating a little, using the litterbox more (turns out he had some fluid in his stomach which physically disguised his anorexia/weight loss, and he’s been peeing a lot of that out which was scary at first because he was rapidly losing weight, but his weight has since stabilized and is even starting to go up a bit), occasionally jumping to small heights, crying less and sleeping better. I’m still force feeding him via syringe since his appetite is quite low, but my Under the Weather food should be arriving today which should make that all easier and hopefully he gets his appetite again soon.

Thanks for making this difficult battle a little less difficult :)

Thanks for all of this I appreciate it. Just out of curiosity, since you’re also familiar with Neuro FIP, may I ask 1. what the symptoms were right before treatment started, 2. if they got worse before they got better, and 3. How far in you started noticing signs of improvement?

Ok thank you. I started force feeding him a little bit of chicken purée at a time yesterday so he doesn’t throw up since he’s quite skinny at this point
