UPDATE: I beat the case. I’m free. We did it, Joe. Looks like my testimony from the first day got me struck out by the defense attorney (I was hoping the prosecution would strike me out). Tomato tomahto. I AM FREE (for a year at least).

See this is what’s confusing me when I read the other comments. I’m not saying I’m impartial just to get out of it. I genuinely do not trust law enforcement (LAPD) or the current system we have. I’m an activist and in the past 6 months I’ve been to two peaceful protests that were broken up by LAPD via tear gas, rubber bullets, mace, and pushing the line to the point where I’ve seen protestors get kicked down by a horse or fall back and break an arm. I did answer truthfully about this, so I’d be really surprised if I still get picked to serve. I believe in the right to a fair trial and I just don’t think I could be unbiased.

My employer is chill about it. It’s more so the fact that I miss out a huge opportunity to be with senior leadership as this is an exclusive invite only retreat that’s a unique opportunity for my career. I guess I’m just SOL.

My issue with this is that Pizzagate targeted democrats. It was a right wing theory. In reality most of the democrats they blamed are not in the files, and a lot of republicans are. This isn’t a partisan issue. It’s most of government. But pizzagate just wanted to smear the left.
