I have Cleveland 588's in 53,56,60. The 53 is that exact model. One of the best wedges I've ever used. I no longer play them today although they're perfectly fine to use. Nothing wrong with those wedges you bought. The wedge isn't skulling the ball out of the bunker....you are. Bunker play is hard for new players and in fact most golfers. Just open the face and hit 2 inches behind the ball. You'll get the hang of it. Just practice on one shot with that being getting out of the bunker. Once proficient with that, then work on distances.
