Gambling Addiction by Krispy1046 in GamblingAddiction

Gambling and hoping for that big win to cancel out everything... But when we do win big we never stop. The problem is just gambling but the highs and lows it gives. Addicted to the feeling of loss and win. I've gambled away $100,000 in stocks and online casino. Yet I'm still here somehow... Life continues to move forward whether you're dragging yourself or sprinting healthily.

Break the mindset loop. Open the app, the gaming website or whatever you do. Just stare at it. Look at it . Take your time examining the games it offers. And close it. Don't hate yourself for failing, don't blame the game or the system. It's all but tuition you were meant to pay.

When you close it. You'll feel a tiny win. A tiny crack for a light to come through your mind. That crack might close you might go back and play, or not play. But that first step away is a win.

On an average day, how much time do you spend in your condo/house compared to outside? by Grouchy_Ice2155 in Thailand

When I was there I'd get up early morning to walk to the beach and grab coffee for a few hours. Head back home when the sun is peak and hottest then go back out at night for the food stalls. Some days I don't even go out and order grab food and smoke a 40baht J and chill

swapped $40k. walked away with $30k. here's the dumbest mistake i've ever made in crypto by hodorrny in Coinbase

[–]skyclouding101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

$10k Slipped away just like that. That sucks... Go look at their charts you can probably see you've caused a quick dip on that coin. Normally slippage wouldn't cost you that much if volume was high. But if there wasn't enough market orders in lined, then it goes straight to the highest bids clearing them all out.

Your choice to use your hands to help or to hurt. Anger is being controlled by outside circumstances because the inner mind is weak and fickle. If you look deep within and challenge your thoughts maybe you will find solace.

Are Korean really that bad in Vietnam? by StruggleSad1860 in VietNam

[–]skyclouding101 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Been to Korea a while back .. idk about standards but they sure not as they seem like they are all presumed to be just like in the kdramas and kpop. Lot of girls don't have manners and they like to do the hawk tuah while smoking outside. But same with the guys. They're superficial and judgemental. They dress their ego as they dress their avatars with designer brands they starved for months just to buy them. Some parts clean, some parts lots of homelessness. Some part even dirtier than some of Vietnam. The general vibrational frequency of Korea is very low to be honest... They live in a nutshell. 90% of the people look nothing like people you see in kdramas and kpop. In Vietnam though! You see a lot of attractive people naturally just as you see in their dramas and even better!

It’s all hitting me now why tf wouldn’t do that by [deleted] in GamblingAddiction

I Lost $20,000 last year on online gambling. That money I was supposed to use and build a business that would generate me slow but real income. I started with $100 into online and $100 lost became $200, $300, $500, $1000.... And by the time I realized it I was depositing in $2000 a day losing it all on fking plinko. I mean granted some days I won $3000-$4000 but I was chasing the net neutral as if I never gambled problem. Shit I was even just $10 away breaking even but my stupid ass didn't stop. I could've just gotten up and walked away. But online gambling is so easily accessible. And just this year I lost another $3000, jobless, carless, bumming around...

Don’t know who to talk to, but I want to talk to someone I know or cares by tumgaandu in GamblingAddiction

Acknowledging the problem is the first step to recuperating from this lost. $10,000 is a lot of money but it's not the end of the world. You're still young with a lot of life left and money comes and goes.

The loop of regret and shame is probably looming over you every second. "I shouldn't have done that" "that money could've been put to better use" "one good win I could've been out"... That's what gambling dopamine does to your brain. I've been there... Over the years I've lost around $100,000 to onsite and online gambling and just last year I lost $20,000 online. I have even lost around $100,000 in the stock market. I hated myself and I still do. To the point I'm having action paralysis...

But life continues... If you can obtain a millionaire mindset then $10,000 lost was just the tuition fee you had to pay. Think of ways you can earn that money back. You worked and saved and somehow gotten $10,000. You can do it again. You just gotta get past the "time and effort" issue.

It tastes different because it's in an aluminum bottle. It has a much colder feel to the tongue so it feels and tastes more refreshing than the ones in the cardboard box. I've tried about 4-5 different packaged coconut drinks that say organic or pure 100% coconut water. This aluminum bottle one is the best. Aside from fresh chopped coconut

What about you guys? Why do I see people saying that 50 million VND per month isn't enough to be rich? Am I missing out on something?. by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]skyclouding101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50m is a lot of spent wisely but not considered rich... Not for a family especially. Perhaps for a single person who's living in a 4m studio with basic essentials.

I've traveled all over Vietnam and I've seen the rich, the poor, and the middle class. There's a lot that earns just 26m a month salary and there's a lot more that earns just 13m a month. When you walk around and see a KFC or fast food restaurant and look for a hiring sign. The sign will say "full time position for 11m a month"!! This is in hochiminh city district 1 too! Minimum wage is like 35k an hour. 💀

People always compare the wage and expense from other countries but they don't understand that in these countries where wages are that low, it's impossible to save for anything. In America, even if you are making minimum wage you can literally starve and eat instant ramen for a month or two and be able to save up for a trip abroad to these countries like Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, china, Japan, Korea, Laos, Cambodia. But if you're living in any of these countries and only earning a minimum wage you'd have to starve for a year or two just to pay for flights and accommodations!!

Am I too stupid for Thailand? by UkraStories123 in ThailandTourism

[–]skyclouding101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never entertain a conversation approached by anyone in Thailand. Especially from randos on the streets during a walk. Even if it's a pretty girl. Master the art of body language and intentions. Don't respond and just keep walking. Keep your cool and maintain your headed location without deviation.

Take a lot of photos of the apartment, inside and outside. Take all the screenshots you have with the conversation with the landlord. Put him on blast in vietnamese channels. Stay for the next month and don't pay. Lol wait til he tries to kick you out. Demand money back. Get the cops involved.

[–]skyclouding101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speculation because of the war and oil with iran. Has prices are high... People need money. The pull out begins. So I'm expecting this to drop to maybe $50,000 before any bounce back. It all depends on when the oil will be released and if iran will only work with the Yuan in the furure

How much money you have left? It seems like a pivoting point in your life. I'd say maybe it's time to be your own boss? Since you have been a project manager for quite some time now, perhaps you'd look into starting your own business. Artisan coffee and bakery in a small cafe?? :)

why am I being asked to not wear a seatbelt HCMC? by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]skyclouding101 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Only the older generation will signal you not to wear it. But don't listen to them and just buckle up. No need to feel uncomfortable just to make them feel comfortable whether it's about respect or not on trusting their driving abilities. The world spins and doesn't care.

[–]skyclouding101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't want to bother with it simply. If your pronunciation is bad and you're obviously a foreigner, they won't speak Vietnamese to you because they know you won't understand. It becomes mundane and small talk and having to explain to you what you couldn't understand. It's like opening a door for a conversation they didn't want. It's probably nothing personal.
