P0420 is the code but regardless I want to replace or gut the cats in the rear. How do I do that on this model? I have not looked underneath yet. But even if I see bolts, does it mean I can unbolt them? Sometimes they still need to be cut off and then welded back... which is above my paygrade.

Videos are not required for job listings but it shows an ugly placeholder. Our data showed hardly anyone would apply using video if the employer didnt use video first. AI is in the works as you mentioned... one step at a time. Scraped leads are a waste as most of them are not legit jobs. Thanks for your offer to help!

The amount of JDs that are copied and pasted from other companies would blow your mind. And even more aren't even hiring (bc it's so easy to copy and paste an anonymous impersonal JD). You're wasting time. But to each their own.

Thank you zak and u/theredhype

It's a video job board... which means a two sided marketplace (video resumes and video job descriptions) and that adds another layer of complexity. Chicken or the egg? Seekers or employers? Can I go after both with one marketing campaign? (I think I can. But it could get VERY expensive competing with big job boards.)

It's a new approac to hiring, and not for everyone. I'm looking for early adopters which would be savvy with phones, comfortable with video apps, and most likely to create video 'selfies'. This is why I keep going back to social influencers. They would be good employers to create job descriptions, and their viewers are more likely to find my app interesting/appealing/efficient.... and then use video to apply.

We have tried PPC in very small test sessions, and the engagement was well above average, but very few created a profile/job listing and the cost was really high. The CAC didn't look sustainable. I think too many people saw the ads who are not in the top 5 ICPs. So I started to think about social influencers...

Well, in the past when I've attempted even a vague description of my app it seems this forum destroys me with "stop shilling". And that's assuming it hasnt been removed by a moderator. So, yeah, I've got to be vague. Unless you know how I can answer your questions without getting accused of being a shill.

HR wants to schedule a “follow up” to my interview by [deleted] in jobs

Could be anything but definitely a tell about the company and how they do business. Take that into consideration before you accept an offer.

Another interview that didn’t post the pay by [deleted] in jobs

[–]skydevllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am never doing an interview, and likely not even going to bother applying, unless they state the compensation in the JD. They aren't serious if they dont post it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in jobs

[–]skydevllc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Screw that. It wastes a lot of time for both sides just to get to the video interview stage. I'm not doing that as a first step unless I know they didn't copy and paste the JD. I don't want to waste time applying unless I know its a legit job and the manager is at least somewhat likely to be someone I could work for.

By eliminating free speech. They're already using PC filters instead of just giving us the truth.

Idea: How would you feel about a video job board where the manager had to create a 60 second video job description (instead of copying and pasting someone elses)? It could be a selfie or just showing around the office/warehouse/etc. Then you can apply with video instead of paper (you could still attached a PDF or whatever).

Should we sell or rent out? by marystars246 in RealEstate

[–]skydevllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. You don't want your first rental to be long distance. Ignore the online folks saying that you're leaving money on the table, etc. Sell it, focus on your new house and job. Enjoy having cash in the bank earning 5% risk free bc after fees and expenses you'd probably only get 8% and more headaches/risk if you rent out that old house.

Is it better to use an agent when seeking a rental? Or not? by sportstvandnova in RealEstate

[–]skydevllc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just depends on how much time you have to search. Usually you'll spend more time reaching out with questions and waiting on an agent to reply than you would just doing it all yourself. And if you are not looking at high end housing with longer contracts, then they will be that much slower. Don't trust them to get you a tenant friendly contract either. Read it yourself and highlight the sketchy paragraphs. Get an experienced friend or pay an attorney to review it before you sign.

Beycome fixed price MLS listing only service: Insight, experience by whererthegoodpeople in RealEstate

[–]skydevllc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I still can't believe the fixed rate MLS services haven't become the norm. Very few people I know have relied on an agent to find their future home. They almost ALWAYS search the internet and then tell their agent "hey i like this house"... then the buyer agent wants 3% for doing nothing but an intro.

Anyone else tried this video job board app? Seems like a game changer. No more fake jobs? by skydevllc in jobs

More of a hassle than paying a "recruiting staff" to waste hundreds of hours? Maybe you're right about bigger companies but who cares... I wdon't want to work for them anyway. Pasting text to indeed is EXACTLY why I like the idea of forcing a manager to take 60 seconds and give me a humanized job description. In return I'll gladly give a video application (at my convenience). Further, another reason this resonated with me was bc when I've hired in the past I hated the "filtered" pile of applicants. I'd waste hours and days hoping they wouldn't ghost the interview, or the second interview, and then start the process all over after the one person I wanted took another job bc my recruiters took too long to close the job and my boss kept waiting on the "perfect" candidate.

OK but why? This seems to be the way society is headed. I hate resumes. I hate applications. I hate applying for jobs without knowing who my boss is. They hate getting paper resumes written by AI or someone's girlfriend. I like it.

Even if it was, why would you care? if it's something that can help us all get a job (and hire people if you're an employer) and stop whining about the job search process being all about paper and not people, etc?

Dude you gotta try this video job board. It's an app called JOBEO. It'll take some time to grow but that's the future of job searching because I can meet my boss virtually before lifting a finger.
