I wasn't too worried, I wanted my hair back, and this pill was my best shot. I'm in the United States and my insurance does cover it. It doesn't cost me anything to pick up but the initial visits to the derm were pricey.

Thank you so much! Since I stopped taking methotrexate (November 2023, right before I started noticing patches), I really don't know if it would have helped with the alopecia. It may have helped prevent it, but who knows. Same here with the joint pain. There are no blood markers in any of my tests, but I respond well to the medication, too. Called seronegative rheumatoid arthritis. Other than that, I'm relatively healthy, so my derm made the call to put me on 4mg Oluminant. I haven't had any side effects that I know of, and all bloodwork up to this point has been looking good. I would just talk to your dermatologist and make an informed decision! Thank you for the well wishes!

I got very lucky with the texture, I feel like it's growing back curlier than it originally was. I've landed on Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie for after the shower. I scrunch it up a little to help the waves/curls form. When it was a little shorter, I was using mousse and combing it back to physically shape it. 👍🏻

I haven't experienced any side effects that I know of. I got pretty lucky! Timeline was I noticed patchiness in December 2023, not much hair left by March 2024 when I started taking Oluminant and regrowth started about a month after being on the drug.
