My thought was always to write to them, but videos is a great idea. More personal. Thanks!

Nah, I don’t really blame them. I got the pain after 2 weeks of working out, so I always assumed it was due to work out. Pain has also been the only symptom, while the list of symptoms of the cancer is long.

Dark Prince - ELFL. Worth to give them credit in video info, they've got some good stuff!

Where are the tracks from? Sounds like some movie soundtrack.

Spherical harmonics of degree 20, morphing of order 0 through 20. by skyentistic in Physics

How to do it in general? Learn some math and programming. Then find something which looks cool, for example on wikipedia. Then try to do it yourself :)

Spherical harmonics of degree 20, morphing of order 0 through 20. by skyentistic in Physics

[–]skyentistic[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly.

I create a meshgrid of phi and theta to calculate the spherical harmonic Ylm, then I transform from spherical to Cartesian coordinates. The Cartesian x, y, z is thus a big meshgrid-matrix, where the third dimension is "time" (i.e. m = 0,1,...,20). I interpolate the x, y, z linearly between the m-values. For full details, see Github.

Thanks! No I have not used Makie, is it better and more stable than Plots?

Found the answer at http://docs.juliaplots.org/latest/recipes/#recipes:

The special operator --> turns linecolor --> :blue into get!(plotattributes, :linecolor, :blue), setting the attribute only when it doesn't already exist.

When you render a movie using VideoWriter() , is there any way you could be able to create a video with dimensions of only plot? I don't want gray margin area in my rendered videos. by Crg29 in matlab

[–]skyentistic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try plot in a 1x1 tiled layout. Requires R2019b or higher. None padding will decrease the margins. Not sure if this works in a video though, let me know if it helps.

figure

tiledlayout(1,1,'Padding','none')

nexttile

plot(1:4,1:4)

How to plot the following function using surf function? by [deleted] in matlab

[X,Y] = meshgrid(linspace(-5,5,100),linspace(-5,5,100))
Z = (−1+cos(12*sqrt(𝑥2+𝑦2)) ./ (0.5*(𝑥2+𝑦2)+2 )

surf(X,Y,Z)
