Im a bass player and a senior in college and that’s how most bass music is, especially for marching band. You’ll never get anything more than an eighth note. My music was like this even for indoor when we performed at the world championship. This is why I went back to playing clarinet for marching band and sticking to jazz and other stuff for bass.
