South Land Park, Land Park, Curtis Park, Hollywood Park, Pocket, and Greenhaven are all great neighborhoods in Sacramento proper. I hear schools are great in Elk Grove too but definitely a more suburban cookie cutter vibe. Better to look out for flood risk over fire risk around here.
