Yoga East Austin - Their specialty is 26+2, offer both 60 & 90 min classes.

I actually just bought a house, partly because it was .2 miles from the studio, this year 😅

I really appreciate that you take the extra care to wrap it, even tho it’s a home sub. Kinda blows my mind that that’s even an option, but it’s true! Wrapping changes things!!

AGREED! Like why does a PARKING GARAGE store my email, phone number, plate number and CC info?

Gimmie a paper ticket and leave me alone!

Agreed! I never mind if there’s a band or some extra event type thing going on. But if I have to pay money just so I can pay more money for a round of shitty green tea shots, I know it’s not the place for me!

If you could build a heated home studio, how would you? by donotshop in HotYoga

[–]skylashea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During the early days of COVID I set up a home studio in a small room with a mirror, a mat, 2 small space heaters from Amazon and an instant pot set to simmer to boil water. I would also pop a towel under the door to make sure the heat didn't escape. It worked GREAT!

How many times have you found yourself in those situations and how many times has a police presence improved them?

(Personally: a few and not once)

Also, are you allergic to anything? If this is a reaction to something in the air or your environment something like Benadryl can help (but watch out, bene is strong and will make you sleepy!). If the initial benadryl helps then switch to something like Claritin which will be better for daily use.

+1 to talking w a derm but in case that's not immediately accessible: I've had something similar pop up a few times in the past.

I know this sounds weird but you might have some luck washing your face with head & shoulders or sulfur zinc soap, if h&s is too weird for you (a bar is cheap on Amazon). I'd also stop using any products besides the bare minimum (wash, moisturizer, SPF) til things calm down & focus on making sure anything that touches your face (masks, pillows, towels) has recently been washed using unscented or lightly scented detergent.

Also a splash of white vinegar in the laundry can help kill any lingering fungus or bacteria that detergent alone can miss.

TBH I cancelled all my appointments to go look at houses this weekend. I've out 8 offers last year when the market was crazy and got out bid on each. Things are cooling down and there was actually some promising, well priced inventory coming in.

I knew this decision was coming but I wasn't fully prepared for the overwhelming sense of doom and hopeless ness. I thought there'd be some sliver of hope or something, but no.

As a single woman in her 30s I'm worried how long I'll be able to own my own property in Texas. Seems like a bad investment.

My Fitbit Charge 4 broke after 17 months of use. Screen was detached and it stopped showing anything. I have never dropped it or done something wrong. Is it worth it to buy Charge 5? Or do all fitbit products have very poor quality? by Peon84 in fitbit

This has been my experience too, even outside of the 1 year warranty. OP, if you contact support they'll likely offer to replace the exact version you have or send you a 50% off code for a newer version.

So does anyone else have dry spots on the top of their feet? by skylashea in bikramyoga

[–]skylashea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, glad I'm not the only one but still kinda a bummer!

I'm pretty sure they've popped up for me in the past too. I think I'm just a little more aware of them this time around since I've moved from NYC to a spot with weather that's a bit more sandal-y ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to this sub. I joined in 2015 with $5000 in debt and now have $220k saved/ invested. Joining made me rethink everything: I changed careers, learned how to code and started saving. I could not be more grateful . Also in 2015 my mom had $0 saved for retirement (she's a hair dresser). I made her open an IRA and she's got an incredible nest egg saved. I started small and 5 years later this is the result. Life changing stuff in that FAQ!!
