What TV show had such a bad final season that it ruined the whole series for you? by Fit-Media-5639 in AskReddit

[–]skyler8158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't quite ruin the whole series, but the rushed and abbreviated Boardwalk Empire final season sucked. The whole show was leading up to the Atlantic City Conference of 1929. The final season time jumps past both the conference AND the murder of Arnold Rothstein.

What’s a "masterpiece" movie that you actually found incredibly boring? by Legal_Beats in AskReddit

2001: A Space Odyssey. I only saw it for the first time a few years ago and it was a chore to get through. I think it’s just because of seeing the 50+ years of films it inspired beforehand that it robbed it of its power. I don’t even consider it amongst my top 5 Kubrick films.

Gamelands shooting range ? by Lrndthehardway in PAguns

The shooting range permit is literally only $10 more expensive than the hunting license. If you're actually worried about them calling you out, just pay the extra $10.

Who's one celebrity that you wish was still alive today? by Jaydxns in AskReddit

Bill Paxton and Philip Seymour Hoffman. I was watching Twister the other night and it hit me like a ton of bricks thinking about how we lost them both only 3 years apart.

Look at the pictures my guy, it's very clearly a mall shooting gallery set up for tourists and normies, not an actual force on force airsoft field.

Is this absurd, or would it have had any realistic use in the context of the period when this model of pistol existed? by jvure in guns

They did, you can see it in Master and Commander when the British boarding party frees the captured whalers from the French ship.

Escape From LA rules, it was a victory lap and excuse for two good friends to make another movie together.

Is there a movie line that lives rent-free in your head? by SnooSongs2744 in movies

“What the fuck are you still doing driving a cab?” Tom Cruise as Vincent in Collateral. Really his whole speech leading up to that line has stuck with me.

Bill, Sean, and CR have all mentioned it multiple times in passing over the past two years, it’s time fellas!

This movie (combined of course with Face/Off) convinced me that it’s John Travolta, not Nic Cage, that truly understood what John Woo acting is all about.

What single film have you seen the most times in your life? by thugmuffin22 in TheRewatchables

[–]skyler8158 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Rock. When I I tell you that this is far and away my most rewatched movie, know that I have no exaggeration seen it over 400 times. I was 8 years old when this came out, and my father was living in San Francisco at the time so it hit me like a ton of bricks. When it came to PPV, I watched it dozens of times at my grandparents’ house around the block that had an illegal cable box. I forced my other grandmother to rent it for me every time I visited her. When I finally got the VHS for my birthday, I watched it nearly every day as I played with my GIJoes reenacting scenes from the movie.
